GCS Asset Ingestion for Both AEM AMS and AEM as a Cloud Service

Has anyone implemented a solution to ingest assets from a Google Cloud Storage (GCS) bucket into AEM Assets that works across both AEM 6.5 AMS and AEM as a Cloud Service?

We're looking for an approach that is portable between the two platforms and avoids maintaining separate ingestion solutions.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with:

• GCS → AEM asset ingestion architectures
• Custom services, middleware, ETL tools, or Adobe-supported integrations
• Metadata mapping and updates during ingestion
• Incremental synchronization of new or changed assets
• Patterns that are compatible with both AMS and AEMaaCS
• Lessons learned, challenges, or recommendations
