Hi team,

I am trying to upload password protected PDFs and I am seeing error once pdf is uploaded. Does AEM supports password protected PDFs? If no, do we have any pipeline to enable this feature?

Yes. There is no native OOTB feature to support this. I did more research on this and found this as viable solution. Adobe overall has below architecture for maintaining document security.

Hi @Vishal_Anand ,

AEM does not support password-protected PDFs for processing. The file gets uploaded, but AEM cannot read encrypted PDFs to generate thumbnails or extract metadata, so asset processing fails.

There is no out-of-the-box support for this. If needed, we would have to remove the password before upload or build a custom solution.

Thanks.
Vishal
