DAM PDF Asset Version restore

Hello All,

I am noticing that when I upload a pdf asset under DAM, I am able to create versions using "Create..." button on bottom right of the screen. After creating versions however, if I try to restore previous versions (I click on the previous version and click "Restore"), a new version is created every time I restore to a version.

Is this an intended behavior? An author if wants to compare versions by restoring to them, it may lead to creation of lot of versions. Is there a fix or alternative to this?

Thanks Scott. I have followed same procedure to restore the assets.

In the link you provided, it is not mentioned that whether a new version will be created every time a user restores to a previous version. I am looking for clarification on that.
