Request for Feature Enhancement: Assets View - Insights only allows upload and download filter based on “Last 30 Days” and “Last 12 Months”. Which restricts logged In user to only limited analytics. To make this feature more useful for end users - the insight should support filters so that user can view filtered statistics:

  1. User can filter insights by one or more of the following (based on available custom metadata attributes):
    • Brand
    • Sub-brand
    • Geo / OU
    • Agency
    • Adaptations Name & ID
    • Master Name & ID
    • Experience Name & ID
  2. Filters support:
    • Single-select and multi-select
    • Combination filtering (e.g., Brand + Geo + Time)
  3. Filter options reflect only values available to the user.
  4. Selected filters are clearly visible and can be reset.

Hi @vivekanandm17,

In Adobe Experience Manager Assets View, the current Insights feature has limited filtering options, mainly based on time (Last 30 Days / Last 12 Months).

Key Points

  1. Current Limitation – Insights only allow filtering by time range, which limits detailed analytics.

  2. Metadata-Based Filters – Add filters based on custom metadata such as Brand, Sub-brand, Geo/OU, Agency, Adaptation ID, Master ID, and Experience ID.

  3. Flexible Filtering – Support single-select and multi-select filters.

  4. Combination Filters – Allow users to apply multiple filters together (e.g., Brand + Geo + Time).

  5. User-Specific Values – Filter options should show only metadata values accessible to the logged-in user.

  6. Clear UI Controls – Selected filters should be visible and easily resettable.

Conclusion: Adding metadata-based and combination filters in Insights would give users more meaningful analytics and better control over DAM asset usage data.

Thanks,
Vishal
