For an form page, though it is de-indexed (not-listed) in Google  they are getting traffic from Natural Search channel around 1% that too with the referral as Google. What could be the possible reasons for that?

Hi @srividyavenkat

bear in mind that the last touch channel can also be overridden by other marketing channels. The marketing channel is not persisted for individual pages but globally for the visitor.

So, if the user came to your site through an email campaign (non-indexed page), and then later googled your site and came back through organic search to an indexed page such as the homepage, this will likely override the last touch channel with "Natural Search" and Google as referring domain.

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics/components/dimensions/last-touch-channel

"The ‘Last touch channel’ dimension reports the most recent marketing channel a visitor matches with during that visitor’s engagement period (30 days by default). This dimension is valuable in understanding which marketing channels drive traffic to your site that result in conversions, allowing you to focus marketing efforts in areas that are most effective."

It is also affected by how you set up your marketing channels in the Marketing Channel Manager and which channels are allowed to override the last touch channel.

By default, "direct" and "internal" are disabled.

Hi @srividyavenkat

the time it takes for Google to remove a page from its index can vary. Generally, it can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks.

The process depends on several factors, including the frequency with which Google crawls your site and the reasons for the removal request.

If you manually request the removal of a page through Google Search Console, the process can be relatively quick, often taking just a few days. However, if the page is removed due to changes in the site’s structure or content, it might take longer, as Google needs to recrawl and reindex the site.

When have you taken the page out of the index?

Hi @bjoern__koth,

This specific page is a form page and was not indexed at all in Google.

Are there any other possibility that we could get the data?
