Report Builder - Manage Metrics across Requests

Managing segments across requests had been a huge time saver fo us.  Can we get something similar for managing metrics?  I see the potential  issues as adding metrics will increment either rows or columns to the request.. I assume there could be a check if the action to add metrics will cause overlapping requests.

    Thought of something else.  If the above is not possible, could we copy a previous action to another table.  For example:

     

    I have a workbook wiht 20 requests, 20 different segments and the same 10 metrics in each. We have just added a new event to our implementation and need to add this new metric to our report builder.   Obviously adding metrics across requests would be prefered.  But if we can't do this, after adding the metric to the first request.  Can we somehow copy the previous action and paste it into another request?
