Adobe Analytics

I cannot seem to figure out how to trend year over year by month in the workspace. I'm just trying to get our key metrics (unique visitors, visits) for this year to date by month and then how that compares to last year the same time. Should I just do two freeform tables next to each other? seems odd that this is not an easy option unless I am completely missing it. UPDATE: based on a post I discovered by accident from November it sounds like this is still on the docket for improvements. I'm kind of shocked it was pushed without this. I really thought I was just missing something.

Hi, I would like to know how I can see page views for multiple report suite at once. Earlier I used to get this report through Account Activity report in Admin menu, but now it has been replaced by Server call report where I am not able to see Page views numbers. Is there any alternate for the same. Appreciate suggestions. Thanks.

Hi there,    Is there a way to first filter a table by the top X of one dimension, and then sort by another metric?    eg: I want to sort by conversion rate, but only looking at the top 100 ordered products, for example.    Thank you! Sonia

Hello Community,  While I was analyzing site traffic at our company, I noticed traffic from some of the user agents has Bounce rate = 100%, Unique Visitors, Visits and Page Views are all same numbers. Can I conclude that these are Bot traffic by taking these into consideration? or Is there anything else I would need to look at before concluding these User Agents as Bots?   

Hi All,I have installed the common analytics plugin and configured the getNewRepeatVisitor plugin to identify new Vs repeat visitors to my site.I configured an evar to capture the value new / repeat.Despite multiple visits to the site, I could see only "NEW" being passed to the evar. (instead of repeat)Then in the cookies section, I noticed that the s_nr cookie, meant for the identification of repeat visitors, wasn't getting set.I am not sure how to solve this.By the way, I am testing the implementation and hence the site is running on my local host.Thanks in advance for helping me out.

If I receive a success response from the 1.4 data insertion API using the right tracking server; does anyone know where in the Analytics platform/admin console can I find if the data is reaching the report ID that I'm using in my requests?   All my http requests are returning this message from the 1.4 data insertion API: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><status>SUCCESS</status> and according to the docs, this is a successful response: https://github.com/AdobeDocs/analytics-1.4-apis/blob/master/docs/data-insertion-api/reference/r_post_response_codes.md   but all the data that I've been sending is not showing up on the analytics report that I'm using and I can't find anything on the admin console to let me see if the data is getting there and/or why is not showing up.   Thank you!

Hello,  Has anyone noticed their data layer is unstable in production today? We had the issue in our UAT environment and we were told to change our extension. We corrected this and pushed our changes to production. In production, we are using the correct extension we pushed our code and we are still experiencing an unreliable data layer firing.   

We are trying to follow the below instructions in the new landing page documentation regarding Company Reports at this URL https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/analytics/analyze/landing.html?lang=en#company-report   After following these steps, our expectation was the “Company Reports” would show up under this “Company Reports” Reports menu area (see the screenshot below taken from the same documentation URL above) so our customers can easily discover them when using the “search reports” feature. But from our testing, this “Company Reports” reports menu option never shows up.   We see a project that we saved as a Company Report showing up on the Components > Projects page labeled as a Template which is to be expected since our understanding is that “Company Reports” are essentially templates. Hi community,  We have a calculated metric created from a filtered eVar, like this: Users Tests Completed = (PageName contains "Result Page"). I know, we have no success event for this. We would like group how many times the same user got to that page (matches the calculated metric) grouped by percentiles. For example: 75% of users visited this page at least 1 time. 50% of users visited this page at least 3 times. 25% of users visited this page at least 4 times. Can we do it even if we have no login process? I mean, can we do it from anonym users? I know about cross-browser, but if we assume users will use same browser/device any time. Thanks,

Why there is difference in custom link click events and bounce rate between props and evar? When I use evar I see different number but when I use prop I see a different number. Which is the right one to use if I want to see pagewise?  

Hi there,    I'm trying to filter a table based on a selection of different product numbers. I tried creating a segment using the 'equals any of operator', but the table returns additional products because there is often more than 1 product on a single analytics call.    Instead, I'm trying to filter the table manually using the advanced filter, but there is no 'equals any of' operator.  When I use this search filter, it will also return products that contain that number: eg: if I filtered for DM_73016, it also brings DM_730166 too for example.       Are there any ways around this? I need to filter by 300 different product keys, so manually adding each isn't an option   Thank you!  Sonia

I tried to enter my username.company, and then enter my password, it does not work. I tried to follow the hint, but I could not find the gear that direct to the account info page....How can I find SECRET?

Hi, we've implemented the mobile app SDK and are now transferring and aligning context data to the appropriate eVars in AA. We used to track the Marketing Cloud Visitor ID from our websites for exporting reasons and I simply don't know which context data element to use to get the same value from the app. Is it simply not available or am I just not seeing it?

Currently I have trackState in my mobile app. I have installed Edge extension in Launch. Can I forward existing trackState to Edge, without making changes in the app code (other than updating the SDK)?   Regards, Praveen

Hello,   I'm trying to figure out how the top chart has more pageviews that the bottom chart. For context, the top chart is just looking at pageviews where the previous page is the page from the bottom chart. The bottom chart just totals the pageviews for that page. I'm having trouble understanding how it could be more. Shouldn't it be the same or less if users drop off or their last hit is the page from the bottom chart? If a user were to visit a new page or refresh after the page view of the previous page segment from the top, the previous page name would change, so it doesn't make any sense. Is the previous page name evar a session related metric when look at pageviews and it's summing up all pageviews where a session had a hit of previous page name?    Thanks!    

Inside Reports & Analytics we used to have a dashboard called "Media Detail" which was useful to analyse viewer retention on video on demand content. The visualization let us see if viewers keeps watching the video or leave at every minute of the video. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/media-analytics/using/media-reports/media-default-reports/media-reports-detail.html?lang=en   Is it possible to have the same visualization on Analysis Workspace? We miss that report...        

Hello - is there a reason why the City of London (i.e. financial district between Westminster and Tower Hamlets, as opposed to the Greater London city region) is not available within the Cities parameter in Analytics? Other London boroughs and urban centres within Greater London are (e.g. Islington, Bromley, Wimbledon, Twickenham), but not the City.   It would be very helpful to be able specify this area, particularly for B2B use cases as it is one the UK's most important financial hubs.
