Impact of IP Obfuscation on Bot Filtering

I visited the post with this exact same name but it was not clear to me, and the reference link provided took me to a 404. I am reaching out to better understand our ability to filter BOT traffic per IP, if IP Obfuscation is enabled.

Thank you!

Hi @anacacr ,

There are different options within IP obfuscation settings. If the option to remove last octet is chosen and if the Bot rules are dependent on IP addresses, it would have an impact. Other IP obfuscation settings are applied during processing after Bot Rules, Exclude IPs feature, geosegmentation, etc, so it doesn't have any impact.

I hope this clarifies!
