Hi @indra-2

Reading the documentation, I presume that is no any direct functionality to reset events profile record count. However some considerations that you could take into account are the following ones:

  • Delete old or unnecessary events:
    • Data Management: Review current events and delete those that are no longer relevant or necessary. You can set up retention policies to automatically handle and delete old events after a determined period.
  • Segment Data:
    • Separate profiles: Consider segmenting your data into different profile if possible. This will help distribute event load across multiple profiles, thus avoiding the limit of a single profile.
  • Re-evaluate Data Capture Strategy:
    • Event Optimization: Review the event capture strategy to ensure that events are necessary and used efficiently. Secure that each event provide value and there are no redundancies.

¡Hope this is helpful!

The most recent 5K events are available on profile. Older events still persist in the datalake.

If you are looking to 'reset' the events you would need to delete the dataSet for which the events were brought into the CDP.

As per the documentation of the events are more than 5000 that profile will not be considered for segmentation

@indra-2 Yes they are not considered for the segmentation but the data still exists in the data lake. As Bryan has mentioned if you want to delete these events from the data lake to manage storage, etc. you can delete the datasets.

the best approach would be keep the existing dataset and create a new one [use it for future ingestion ]for the required event - that way you stay historical events as well
