I used the notation field at the bottom every time to add a note about what change I made and why. (well, most of the time ) I would like to see that in brought back in Launch. It's a good habit to get into.
Definitely 2nd this - we use the notes field to comment on requestor/BU who exist outside of the marketing cloud, and also possible future time boundaries for a rule decommission, and other not so obvious requirements. This is a crucial capability across over 20 domain properties managed under DTM. As of now, when we migrated assets to Launch, it did not bring the DTM notes over, which is a big loss!!!
This is a good way to keep track of significant changes to the existing/new rules. This comes truly handy and fast instead of doing a version compare to find out what was changed.
Are there any resources you don't need notes on? We assume you'd like them on Rules, Rule Components, Data Elements, and Extensions. We also think they would be useful on Libraries.
We think they probably wouldn't be all very useful on Environments, Hosts, or Builds.
What about Properties?
We'll probably build them generically so they could be attached to any resource, but looking for info to prioritize where we roll them out in the UI first.
