AEP is not a CRM product. When I think of CRM, I think of something like Salesforce. AEP is not like Salesforce at all.
AEP is like a DMP, in that you can collect data from various sources, create audience segments from that data, and activate the segments in destinations.
But AEP really calls itself a Customer Data Platform (CDP). See https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/landing/home.html?lang=en. Make of that what you will.
