stderr.log and stdout.log in CQ5.6.1

Hi Guys,

I have a query regarding generation of stderr.log and stdout.log files  inside <<logs>> folder.
- When we double click over the jar(cq-author-4502.jar) file of CQ5, it generates stderr.log and stdout.log , while running start.bat it does not generates these 2 log files. 

Please give some solutions so that these two files(stderr.log and stdout.log) can be generated by running start.bat. And please provide concept behind generation of this 2 files.

If you want these log files - use the JAR file to start AEM.

Thats strange !! Let me check on this.

will quickstart.bat will solve your problem ?

Thank you very much for the reply. I tried with quickstart.bat but sorry, does not solve the problem.

Thanks a lot for reply ! 

Yes this happens, to get this log files we need the JAR file to start AEM. 

Is there any specific reason or any concept behind it to generate these log files only through JAR file ?

Please post if have any details.
