Sending AEM Page to Workfront for approval with AEM Workflows

Hello Team,

We have integrated AEM Assets with Workfront using the new native integration. But we have 1 issue currently.

Earlier the Workfront enhanced connector provided a AEM workflow that automatically sends the AEM page to the Workfront for approval before publishing it. This was possible due to the Workfront configuration present under Cloud Configurations in AEM.

New native integration does not provide any Cloud configuration in the AEM CaaS side to have this process. Also, I haven't been able to find any documentation to achieve this process using native integration.

Does Adobe have this Workfront workflow integration and I am not able to find it or they don't support it anymore OOTB and it need to be customized somehow?

Can someone please help in here?

Thanks in advance,

You are correct. This feature was possible via workflow models included in the Workfront for Experience enhanced connector. However, this particular feature is not currently included in the native connector for AEMaaCS deployments. In order to achieve this functionality with AEMaaCS and Workfront you'll need to develop a custom solution. It's possible that a custom Fusion scenario could be built to achieve this use case, but it will ultimately depend on your specific requirements, and what system is responsible to sending the AEM Sites page to Workfront for review.

When we built this at Hoodoo using the original enhanced connector, all the custom development was done on the AEM side because we wanted an AEM Workflow and Launcher to initiate the push of the AEM page Workfront. Happy to provide additional details if needed.

Do you have access to Fusion where you can use a scenario to integrate the two systems?

Yes, we do have fusion but how can I achieve that connection?

@hars_hitsingh  here is Experience League link to set up the connection from AEM Assets to Workfront: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/workfront/using/adobe-workfront-fusion/fusion-apps-and-modules/aem-assets-modules.html?lang=en

You will need to login to both Workfront & Fusion and create a new "Scenario" in which you will set up the connection for these two systems.

Are you attempting to see the Cloud Configuration within Workfront?

Thanks @adamd90986673 ,

Exactly this is what we need to have an "AEM Workflow and Launcher to initiate the push of the AEM page to Workfront".

Hello,

You might want to check Adobe's documentation, contact their support, or ask the Adobe community for guidance. If the new native integration doesn't meet your needs, consider customizing your workflow.
