Is it good to take AWS Snapshot backup for AEM Author instance for backup process, as we will get OS backup and repository backup also even when AEM is running?

Hi @439823ankit ,

Hope you are using AEM 6.3 + version, which supports online+offline back-up.

Adobe suggest to have offline backup and it needs down time. OS snapshot backup (without AEM taking down) may not be useful for complete AEM recovery.

Please refer below document for more details on backup recovery.

@439823ankit Yes, this seems to be a feasible option to take backups, based on your use case.

Adobe provides AEM snapshot backups which would be sufficient in most cases, but if more is needed, this is one option.
