Awkwardly small text editor screen

Sometimes, I can only see the upper part of the content when i try to edit.

Our developer says there is no way to solve this. is it true?

Yes, you can change the height of the editable space. See http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/administering/configuring_rich_text_editor.html#Height (of editable space). Hope that helps.
