Asset Sourcing Workflow - Assets not syncing from Brand Portal to AEM

Hi AEM Community,

We are running Asset Sourcing Workflow to pull in assets from Brand Portal to AEM Instance.

But the same is not happening. We ran the workflow multiple times and compared it with the only time it worked from the logs to come up with the below findings -

1. com.day.cq.dam.asset.sourcing.impl.poller.AssetImportInitiatorPoller Polling for new import events on bp instance...
The poller is running every 5 mins as per the default configuration.

2. We added a bunch of contributors to the CSV for Brand Portal Users and then added them as contributors to the folder pushed to Brand Portal. The push from AEM to Brand Portal is working correctly.

3. However, when the users push back assets from Brand Portal to AEM the assets are not reflecting in AEM.

The Brand Portal's Asset Contribution Status shows the status as Completed but the AEM is not reflecting the new assets.

Logs Analysis -

com.day.cq.dam.asset.sourcing.impl.poller.AssetImportInitiatorPoller Polling for new import events on bp instance...

This poller is running every 5 mins to poll for new events from Brand Portal & is not registering events to create asset import job.

Any pointers on what should be done to troubleshoot this further?

Hi All,

Just posting this answer for posterity - the issue was because of the permissions in Brand Portal. A viewer access in Brand Portal will not be able to push the assets to AEM. The users who are admin/editor in Brand Portal are able to do so.

The documentation for Asset Sourcing in Brand Portal mentions the below -

The last part of assigning permission to access the contribution folder comes from Brand Portal and not CSV with System Admin role as mentioned in the default CSV.
