AEM GQL Query: Not supporting SVG Images

Does AEM GQL support svg images ? I get empty response when try to read them.

I was trying to fetch it using ...ImageRef instead I should have used ...DocumentRef for svg. Thanks

Can you elaborate on usecase. In my opinion there is no hard rule against SVG images.

A usecase or probably a screenshot might help.
