Session FAQs

Q. Does this apply only to AEM as a Cloud Service? or also to AEM hosted in Adobe Managed Services as well?

A. Most of what we're describing here applies to both Adobe Managed Services and AEM as a Cloud Service, but there are some differences. Methodology speaking, AEM on-premise would be treated similarly, just obviously without the out-of-the-box automation provided by Cloud Manager. And certainly, the deployment process is very different in Cloud Service due to the architectural specifics which don't apply to on-premise.

Q. I can't find any of these options: Integration Testing and Functional Testing in our CM for AMS-managed AEM environments.

A. Those features are currently only available for AEM Cloud Service.

Q. Where can I find out more information about the new Functional test suite in Cloud Manager?

A. Check out: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/implementing/using-cloud-ma...

Q. Where can I find out more information about the new Custom UI Test step in Cloud Manager?

A. Check out: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/implementing/using-cloud-ma...?

Q. What kind of testing applications for the AEM Author environment and what tools are being used?

A. Author testing can be accomplished with the Functional test suite. Which tests are appropriate will depend on your individual project’s needs.

Q. Are you referring to warmed-up pages as in dispatcher Cache for these pages being rebuilt prior to launch?

A. Yes, the dispatcher cache is warmed up before the pods come up, the most accessed pages are warmed up.
