Syntax for email banner

Avatar

I'm trying to create a banner that calls up the device email. Ideally, I'd be able to control the subject and body of the email as well. Has anyone done this?

Thanks

Banners currently only support http or https for external links.

A button or link in an article can use the mailto protocol and that supports adding subject and body.

Got it! Thanks Colin. Any chance banner email support is on the roadmap?

I avoid roadmap questions, for a number of reasons... so "no comment" on this. If a PM wants to comment, cool.

OTOH, make your case for why an email action for a banner would change your business... PMs appreciate that type of information on feature requests.

Understood. I get it.

We're finding that a lot of our retail clients are interested in communication back from their sales team in the field. It would be great to have a 'Contact' banner on browse pages. This way, there isn't a need to drill down into content in order to reach out via email. Make sense....someone....

Adding more link types to banners is something we have discussed but it's not currently slated for a release. We've definitely heard the requests and would like to slip it in along with some larger features.

OK, got it. Thanks Nate!

It would be a great feature to slip in...

You can always host a contact form on your website and call it via http or https link from a banner.
