Hi
i have a trail of DPS 2015 & im just working through the tutorials
What you need section
development mobileprovision file that includes your device ID
I read that to get above i need to create apple developer account
so i started process with apples site - but it costs $99
i just want to create a example magazine type app
then somehow preview it on a ipad
i dont really care if its a 'fake' app preview veiwer or whatever
as long as its approximate
Many Thanks
Mike

During your trial, you can preview your content using the DPS Preflight app, which is available in the iTunes App Store. The Apple developer certificates are required only for building a custom app.

You need the Apple Developer account in order to create the certificates. There is no way around it.

Talk to Apple about it. It’s their requirement.
Have you considered a Google or Windows developer account instead to test on Android or Window 8.1/10 devices?

You cannot put an app on an Apple device without the certs. It is Apple’s requirement.
