Segments Migrations to a new Instance

400+ segments need to be migrated from one instance to another. Consequently all traits (6000+)will be migrated too.

We replicated traits from the original instance to the new one using BAAAM, and we reached the step of creating the segments onto the new instance.

The challenge is to map the recently added traits from the new instance onto the new segments - yet to be uploaded using BAAAM. How do we do this?

An example of one segment rule to upload exported using BAAAM. The sids Traits would have to be replaced by the new ones.

(2499170T OR 2499180T OR 2695679T) OR (2499575T and 2938974T) or (3544630T and 2499575T)

Really appreciate if someone could give any insights on this workflow.

    Hi there,

    You need to go to the headers tab and copy the create segment header.

    That looks like this :

    namedataSourceIdfolderIdsegmentRule

    Then paste that in the create tab of BAAAM tool, and use the segment rule according to the doc below :

    Create or Update Trait Rules and Segment Rules
