Duration of Consistency Check on Author

Hello,

We have unfortunately had an issue with our author environment and one of the steps we have been taking is running a consistency check. Our one check has run over 6 days. I am curious if anyone else has had a similar experience, and if so, if it resulted in actionable/useable information?
