Hello everyone.
Could someone explain meaning of that the documentation here describes SID parameter as Trait ID or Segment ID at the same time ? How could the same key mean different functionality ?

SID
stands for score ID. This is a unique ID for a trait or a segment.
If you are planning to use the DCS API, you may consider using Signals key value pairs so that you do not have to know the Trait ID in advance.
As @EugeniaO mentioned, the sid column in the Admin API (same API BAAAM uses) can mean either a Trait ID or a Segment ID depending on the request endpoint.
Otherwise, please share your use case and I can comment further.
If you have used before the Adobe BAAAM tool, bulk editor, when requesting traits and segments the field is sid for both of them, even though you have to differentiate by traitType: TRAIT or SEGMENT.
