Audience Manager vs Data Insertion API

Hi,

we are using Audience Manager configured with Server-Side Forwarding (Analytics -> AAM).

We have some cases where we want to use the Data Insertion API to track specific service request on a backend server. It seems that data are not passed to AAM from Data Insertion calls.

Is it possible to forward data to AAM also by Data Insertion tracking calls?

Hi Michael,

It looks like server-side forwarding requires the location hint be present in the hit. Unfortunately, there is not currently a way to pass the location hint via XML. A workaround would be to create an HTTP request instead with the same information.

You can use the following documentation to help you retrieve the location hint. Keep in mind, you may also need to pull the 'aid' in addition to the 'mid' depending on your implementation.
