Using Exit Link Tracking Redirects

Avatar

Level 7

Hi all,

Need some help, I've been following https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/whitepapers/redirects/redir_jump.html to allow us to track a link in an email which goes to a 3rd party however I've hit a brick wall with customer care!

The above article states to contact Customer Care and provide them with the jump page content and domains for whitelist which I did and was all fine and was told it was implemented, however when I've gone to try and implement exit link redirects it won't work and now client care is telling me that i need consulting services to deal with this. Has anyone had any experience setting up this before or know of another way I can track a link going to a 3rd party which doesn't hit our sites first?

I've been using: http://companyID.d3.sc.omtrdc.net/b/ss/reportsuiteID/5.4/REDIR/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com&p...

I believe this should work as expected, record the link and redirect the user to whatever is in url= in this case facebook. However i keep getting a 403 forbidden which indicates Customer Care hasn't whitelisted the domain...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct that the agent has not placed facebook.com in your organization's redirect whitelist, or the whitelist is not working correctly. Can you provide me with the incident number where you interacted with the agent? I'll follow up and see what might be going on.
