I've been asked to add 20 new IP address filters to our master suite. Is there a way to measure/quantify the impact on total traffic before adding? My thought was add in a non-prod/sandbox suite and see what the impact is on total counts. Also, I wanted to confirm this would only have an impact on data going forward and not historic?

Create a segment for traffic visit based using the specific IPs

You can then see traffic total VS your segment to gauge potential impact in both past and future states.

Segment would definitely be the easiest. Bear in mind that data warehouse is the only platform to segment off of IP address.
