I am wondering and curious to know the impact on Google's announcement to stop the use of third-party cookies in Chrome by the end of 2023, this will shrink the lifespan of the first party cookie as well.

Any thoughts on an alternate approach to address the same.

Thanks

One more approach from Adobe on using Web SDK to generate first-party device ID utilizing a cookie absolutely generated and managed by yourself so it has a long lifespan, https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/edge/identity/first-party-device-ids.html?lang=en

Adobe has an entire help document dedicated to this topic: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/analytics/technotes/cookies/cookies.html?lang=en. There is also another document on mitigating the problem: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/analytics/technotes/cookies/cookieless.html?lang=en.
