When we exclude any IP addresses from Adobe Analytics (identified as Bots),
Does that remove any data from captured from those IP addresses going forward or does that deletes the previously captured data also.

There are two places to identify IP Addresses from Adobe... the first is part of your internal IP Filtering...

Strangely, this is actually directly under Admin, not under reporting suites... but is still suite specific.

Admin > All admin > Exclude by IP

ONLY put internal IPs here

For Bots, you will go into your Report Suite Management, and you can choose one or many suites to apply the rules to; under:

Edit Settings > General > Bot Rules

You likely already have IAB Bot Filtering checked.. if not, you should consider it as this will block out known bots like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc...

But you can also configure your own custom rules here

Give the rule a name (this is the name that will appear in your Bot Reports, so it helps you to monitor what is being blocked and how often they are hitting your site.. so using a name that accurately describes it, especially if you add multiple rules.)

You can exclude by User Agent, IP Address or IP Range:

However, these exclusions will only apply moving forward, they won't affect traffic already collected.

You're welcome... Oh and small note, at this time, the Bots Reports are only available in the old "Reports" area of Adobe Analytics.. but bringing bot reports into Workspace when Reports is sunset should be on the roadmap.
