Can't see the custom metrics created in Adobe Analytics Reporting Suite after Connecting with Google SA360

Hi,

My team wants to optimize our Google paid search campaigns using the website data we are tracking from Adobe Analytics. Specifically, we want to optimize the campaign traffic so we can attract the audience to complete certain activities on the website, such as completing a specific form on the site or clicking a specific link name. We have created the related custom metrics in Adobe Analytics to report on these metrics as KPIs.

I've created the connections between Adobe Analytics Report Suite and Google Search Ads 360 using OAuth Server-to-Server Credentials method.

However, after the connection was established, I was not able to see any custom metrics I've created that could be accessed in the Adobe Analytics report suite project / via ETL tools like Supermetrics. I can only see general metrics as below:

We can see all the events created by the implementation team, though. However, all events were created at a more general level; for example, instead of the form submission of form A, the event will measure all form submissions across the site, while only form A submission is our primary KPI.

What can we check from either the AA or SA360 platform to diagnose the custom metrics problem?  What is potentially missing from either platform to prevent us from seeing the created custom metrics from Adobe Analytics?

The custom metrics created are shared with the necessary credentials already; we can see the custom metrics from the ETL tool's API connection using the same OAuth Server-to-Server Credentials method. They just did not appear in SA360.

Hi @edisonli ,

Do you have gclid implemented which is required for integration between AA and SA360?

Best,

Isha

Thanks for your reply, Isha!

Yes, we added gclid as a custom variable (eVar).

The connection could be created between AA and SA360, but we couldn't see more custom metrics other than the above 5 from the screenshot. However, we could see most events, including the custom events (video start, video played 25%, etc.).

We are not optimizing using events because events are currently configured with the entire website; for example, instead of optimizing the video start event that includes all video starts across the site, we want to optimize against video A starts only  (which was created using custom metrics in AA)

Hey @edisonli ,

Can you please specify the path where you are seeing the metrics in your screenshot? I have SA360 account linked with Adobe Analytics but I am not using it much. If you can specify the path, I can cross-validate what I am seeing in my account?
