Adobe Analytics to measure hyperlinks in PDF.

Dear all,

Currently, i have a question from my Customer.

Step 1 : Download a file PDF on web

Step 2 : Open file PDF and click URL in file PDF.

Question : Can we use Adobe Analytics to measure hyperlinks in PDF (downloaded). Please help me with this problem!

Hey @Huy,

Yes, it is possible by using a technique called Exit Link Tracking Redirects:

Adobe currently provides a mechanism that lets you track external links by linking to Adobe data collection servers and appending a redirect URL. After the link is tracked, Adobe data collection servers return an HTTP redirect to the location provided. This lets you track links without using JavaScript.

You will need to republish your PDFs though.
