Identifying Duplicate Transactions

Hi,

I have noticed duplicate transactions taking place due to refreshing page and other factors. Does Media Optimizer have a mechanism to detect it? If yes, how does it work? Thanks!

Hi Akanksha,

Duplicate transactions may occur when a user refreshes the confirmation page after completing a transaction. Media Optimizer uses the ev_transid attribute to eliminate duplicate transactions with the same transaction ID and property value.

Hi Akanksha,

There is a report called 'Transaction Report' in 'Advanced Report' section of 'Insights and Reports' that can help provide all transactions details attributing to right level including site links. It also provides detail about transaction time, client transaction ID , info on first event and last event etc so chances of duplicity are minuscule.

Regards

Nidhi
