We are considering using Sales Insight (first time) for sales team to send branded htmls to leads/contacts. The htmls would be saved in Marketo and would have velocity codes, just ensuring that the mechanism works and data gets picked up. Data records are obviously pre exisiting on both Salesforce and Marketo. Can this happen / work?

Will Marketo send emails to those contacts who are entered into our Salesforce database as "leads" vs. as "contacts" as long as we have their email and name informaiton entered in?

Hi,I would like to build a custom email performance report that will return only the following details:Campaign name | Channel | Date sent (only date) | Day of the week (clearly mentioned for clear analisys) | Time of send (need it in a separate field) | Open Rate% | CTR % | Delivered %.Is it possible to generate it automatically with the aforementioned column titles?Kind regards,Mihai

 I'm looking to pull a  previously created smart list using the API's I don't care if it's SOAP or REST I just need the smart list. If not directly doable, round about ways are ok too... Any advice would be appreciated. TIA, Chris    

In a form, I would like someone to be able to select multiple answers by checking boxes. When I add them to the form, the checkbox is below the copy. Is there a way to line them up?Thank you,Mandy

A new job means a new platform and while I'm sure I'll get the bascis, I'd love to know a few things that it took you years to figure out but could be really meaningful to someone looking to learn the ins and outs an just getting started. Thank you for sharing yor expertise!And maybe the first thing is that there is much more acceptable and cuter user nickname than "Marketo-ites"!! :-)

Is Marketo giving anyone else a hard time updating HTML for emails?I have waited & tried recreating a program but I just get the spinning wheel of death.

I'm getting ready to launch a whitepaper on various 3rd party sites and my company website. The flow of the lead is gonna be 3rd party website/company website --> marketo landing page (hosts form) --> thank you page --> redirects to different 3rd party website.The goal of this is initiative is to find out:1. How many new names we got2. Which 3rd party source did we get the most traffic from?Will I have to create multiple landing pages for each 3rd party source? or is there a way to track leads coming in from different websites separately on one landing page?

I have a csv file that contains every lead's email address and language preference, and I need to send an email to leads whose language preference is English. Since all the leads are already in my Marketo database with corresponding first name... I want to import the list of English-speaking lead into Marketo, have the leads' first names synced to the email addresses, so that I can send an email to these leads using the {{lead.First Name}} token in my email greeting. How do I do that? If I import the csv file it will create duplicate acccounts, right? 

Hi all,I have a SOAP API endpoint ending with '2_7'.I think it means that I could use SOAP APIs v2.7 to access data.But when trying to get WSDL with URL 'http://app.marketo.com/soap/mktows/2_7?WSDL', I was told that 'Please use your customer specific SOAP endpoint to get the WSDL.'Does it mean that WSDL after version 2_4 would not support a generic way to be got, or these WSDLs are supported only for specified customer?Thanks,Biao

So I created a poll on a landing page and when I had a few internal staff test it, a couple of people were confused because it looks like you have to sign on to either linkedin, twitter or facebook to respond.  I tested it myself and it looks that way, but you can still vote without having to share.  Is there a way to turn that off? I tried turning off the social media sharing but I couldn't deselect all of them.  Also is there a way customize the look and feel of the poll?  It looks HUGE on the page. 

If I have lead that I had previously imported into my lead database and then that same lead signed up a year later at different event/tradeshow is there a way to assign a special score or notification to that lead? best practices?

When the native Forward To Friend (F2F) function is used in Marketo there is no mention to the new recpient that the email was forwarded to them by a friend.Does anyone know of a way to make it so that there is a statement appended to the email that states something like "This email was sent to you by your friend ___" ?Thanks for any insight and help!

I have a handful of email addresses I know are valid but were flagged as hard bounced on a recent email. Why would this happen and how do I make sure these addresses are still included in future communications?

We use iframes with URL tokens in the SRC attribute to pass data. We want to keep doing that.Currently, using the old forms (1.0?), we have a super-minimal Marketo Landing Page (nothing but the form) for each Thank You Page we want to target, and we enter the External URL in the Marketo Editor. All of these Landing Pages use the same Form (1.0) and just have different data passed into them.With Forms 2.0, the FORM is where it wants us to input the External URL for thank you pages. I think I'd like the ability to pull the Thank You Page URL (retURL I've seen it called) from one of the parameters I'm passing into the iframe so that we can use just one form/LP for everything.In the Forms 2.0 editor, the Form Settings tab does not seem to allow the option for pulling the URL from a URL token. I'm not sure how to proceed.My Theory: Add a new hidden field (typage) that pulls from a URL token I'll add to the SRC field of the parent iframe In the 'Advanced Thank You Page' area of the Form

Hi All,I'm a novice with Marketo, so I apologise if this question is simplistic or it  was asked elsewhere.I have a program consisting of 2 landing pages (landing page and thank you page) and an email. All of them are approved.While the landing page leads to the thank you page, how can I enable Marketo to send out the email as well? For example, someone fills out the form on the landing page and registers for a trial. i want them to receive their login details in an email once they hit the thank you page.Thanks in advance!Danish

Has anyone seen this activity before where Marketo keeps on changing the name on salesforce record. It only shows up in the chatter history and not the lead history. Are they being funny? or is there something else ongoing here? See image below

Hi Marketo Wizards,Has anyone been able to get custom account fields to sync (bi-directionally with Salesforce)?I remember being able to get this to work in a previous company, but a support member said that custom account fields are read only to Marketo.Do custom account fields such as 'account status' only update in Marketo?Thanks!Alex

Is there a way to change the type of bullets within Marketo to appear as a shape other than the circles? Or is the only option in import an image?Also, is it possible to make the spacing between bullets and the text above bullets a single space instead of double spaced?
