Hi All,Need pointers on how to implement Jersey REST services from within a CQ service. Is there a way to tell CQ that for urls like /rest/* go to Jersey servlet dispatchers so that all the methods annotated using Jersey annotation are called? Thanks in advance,Nitin

Hi folks,i have a question regarding best practice for e-commerce product handling in AEM. As an example we can take default implementation --> geometrix-outdoors. There we have data products stored in /etc/commerce/products directory and for each product an author should create a page and configure that page to show a specific product. We have debates for the following questions:#QUESTION1      (proposed  by our manager) : product contains link to template and when user reaches the product in http://localhost:4502/etc/commerce/products/men/edmonton-parka - he will see the page based on template even the author has not created specific page in     content folder.     Is it a  correct architectural decision?    What impact has such solution on other parts of the system (caching, adobe analytics, page management (activate/deactivate) , ACL)?#QUESTION2    If we follow the geometrix approach (1 product should have 1 page in content) . Imagine we have productA and a page for that product.

I need to change a lot of URLs for our support articles, since we are building basic structures and then copying the pages.I saw the section in regards to moving the page being the only way to change the URL, but I don't have the option to move any of our pages.

This may be fairly obvious, and I'm overlooking it, but how do you enable/activate a component to show up in the Components Tab in the side panel when you are in the author editor?

Hi Guys,We are on verge of starting new eCommerce project and we have decided to integrate AEM and Hybris.Based on release notes http://docs.adobe.com/content/docs/en/aem/6-0/release-notes.html in commerce section it is mentioned that :       Hybris 5.1.1 supportSupport for the latest hybris version (per May 2014).EnhancementBut on eCommerce wiki page for AEM 6.0 at http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/develop/ecommerce/hybris.html it is mentioned that :CAUTION : "hybris is currently not working with AEM 6.0, only with AEM 5.6.1"So we are confused regarding which version of AEM and Hybris to user for this new implementation. Also we have previously tried using AEM 5.6.1 and Hybris 5.0.4 using package cq-hybris-content-5.6.2 and it didn't workCan some one please clarify our below queries :1) Shall we use AEM 6.0 for eCommerce implementation on top of Hybris ?2) If yes, Which version of Hybris is supported with AEM 6.0, is Hybris 5.1.1 supported or we should use other older version?3) Wh

We have component that makes jquery ajax call to load some json. This component is used in a teaser page. When I hit the teaser with teaser.html the ajax call happens and the json is rendered. But when this teaser is resolved via segmentation and when this loads the page then this ajax call does not happen. The rendered html has the <script> element where ajax call needs to happen.Any ideas?RegardsRama.

Hi,Is there a way to precompile all JSPs in a package as soon as it is installed in CQ 5,, rather than compiling it on the first request?

We use live copies a lot. We set the PushOnModify rollout configuration on them. This works fine when the source page is edited in the GUI.However, when any other method is used to change properties in the source page/component (e.g. using Content Explorer, CRXDE, scripting) PushOnModify is not triggered. How can we programmatically/manually set a node/component as 'modified' in order to trigger the PushOnModify? Or fire the modifed event directly?

Hi,I have slightly modified some SQL 2 queries from this page, but I cannot run them via CRX DE. Here's the query:SELECT * FROM [cq:Page] WHERE PATH([cq:Page]) LIKE '/nodes/%'The error message I am receiving is:Query: SELECT * FROM [cq:Page] WHERE PATH([(*)cq:Page]) LIKE '/nodes/%'; expected: LENGTH, NAME, LOCALNAME, SCORE, LOWER, UPPER, or CASTAny ideas why is this not working?

Hi all,we tried enabling replication.content.useFileStorage in /system/console/configMgr/com.day.cq.replication.impl.ReplicationContentFactoryProviderImpl to improve the speed of replication and also to keep some temporary data out of the repository. It seems to work in principle but we have discovered 2 issues:for clustered environments (more than 1 publisher) it seems not to reliably replicate to all publisherslots of *.ser and *.ser.status files left over in the crx-quickstart/replication folder, despite the content havin been successfully replicated to the publisher node. These seem to remain around and not being cleaned up, eventually filling up the diskMy questions:has anyone used this successfully in a production environment for a longer time (CQ 5.6.1)?is there anything specific to watch out for when using this feature (we also use workflows with replication on the author)?

Hello,It is always forwarded to /welcome.html page automatically when I login (admin) to CQ author instance. But I saw the root mapping of osgi configuration that is “/projects.html”.I would like to know why the root mapping is invalidation. Did something block the login page? Thanks for any help!

Hello everyone! I'm facing an issue when configuring the SMTP server (in order to send email when achieving a participant step in a workflow).I was successfull when I set it using a Gmail account and Gmail SMTP server. But when I try to set it with an Exchange server (Company's internal server - the one that I need - and Hotmail) I get the following error:*ERROR* [pool-7-thread-13-null(null)] com.day.cq.workflow.impl.email.EMailNotificationService error while sending email for com.day.cq.workflow.impl.exec.CQWorkItemWrapper@1d378247: org.apache.commons.mail.EmailException: Sending the email to the following server failed : 10.21.3.9:25 We tried several ways to get this to work, but we couldnt't. Even browsing in internet and in this forum couldn't find any tip.We are wondering if it's about the SMTP user's permission. Could you please try to help me? Thanks in advance!

Hi All,DAM asset upload workflows are generally too resource intensive. The system performance[AEM 5.6.1] is affected. We also face performance problems when many dam upload workflows[ex:DAM update asset workflows] are being run by the users.Would like to improve the performance. Went through couple of links as below:1]http://cq-ops.tumblr.com/post/33794096940/what-happens-when-a-pdf-is-uploaded-into-cq-dam2]http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/current/deploying/performance.html#par_title_233]http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/current/deploying/configuring_osgi.html#par_title_104Some understanding as below:When any workflows are initiated, internally the workflow engine uses Apache Sling job queuesThere are two types of queues - Granite Workflow Queue- Granite Workflow External Process Job QueueWe have to configure these services to limit the maximum number of concurrently running workflow processes. There is Apache Sling Job queue configuration available under bundles, which has a property M

We are testing AEM 6.0(6.0.0.20140509).We are testing Hybris 5.1.1 too.We want to integrate AEM 6.0 with Hybris. The release notes of AEM 6.0 shows that the integration package released in June. But I can't find it in Adobe Package Share.Any help would be appreciated. regardsHeart

To meet the requirements I have implemented a custom nodetype that is placed inside the bundle within a package. The nodetype is used at the same time by a content that is also available in the same package. The problem is, while installing the package for the very first time on the instance, the nodetype definition is missing in the registry as it hasn't been grabbed yet by JcrInstaller that takes care of bundles. Each subsequent installation is just fine as the nodetype definition is not being uninstalled by default. What is the option to get out of this situation without splitting package into two i.e. bundle with nodetype definition and the rest?
