I want to Send data via AJax call to serlvet, the serlvet will return some result based to which I will redirect to a page. So where do I add this global .js file i.e the file that contains the AJAX call. Hi there,When we use AEM, we built Live/Staging/QA environment. And we need to have a way of sync content from Live Auth to QA Publish instance therefore our application in QA env can consume those content. After this, we will publish content to publish instance. It seems that Replication Agent/Reverse Replication is a similar function we want (sync data without activation between instances).But it shows that the outbox in Auth is disabled.So I just want to know, if we want to sync Live Auth instance content to a publish instance in QA env, is it a right solution to use something like reverse replication? And it is the right solution, how to enable outbox in Auth?We were stuck here for quite long time (since there is no more document :( )Thanks a lot for your support!

Hi,I started customizing the Geometrixx-media site in order to achieve our corporate look and feel.This involved adding some javascript / CSS in a clientLib, and changing the various page components (headers / footers / .....). I also added some new pages using the CQ5 WCM and added content to them.Everything was working fine until at some point I decided to add a component to a page (I don't remember exactly what component it was). But the result was that my page didn't render properly anymore. By not rendering correctly I meanNo top-nav component is displayed anymoreContent that was nicely styled is no longer tyledThe component I added is nowhere to be found The CQ5 floating window (allowing you to drag / drop components) is empty and doesn't respond to clicks anymore.The green zones identifying the components on the page are not present.So I'm left with a "bricked" page. As I can no longer edit the page and I have no idea what is causing itI don't see any errors in the Chrome DevToo

I have dragged the predefined Form component in my page.[img]form.PNG[/img]I want to configure this form component i.e. by default it's points to itself, and data goes in BulkEditor. I want my data to be submitted to my own servlet. We are currently on AEM 6.0, SP1 for what its worth.I am setting up the cq:dialog's for each of my individual components.  I figured out how to use the granite/ui/components/foundation/include to include multiple elements inside a dialog.  After doing this, I thought about it some more and wondered if I can do the same thing to include a single granite component (a select with almost 40 options) in multiple dialogs.  The answer to that is it includes it OK, but it does not seem to save the results out to the content repository.  Based on the following code was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to get it to save it's changes (again, for what it's worth, I make a change to the textbox that is inside the same tab and that does save any changes out to the repository). !Dummy (hidden) component solely setup to store these kind of selects <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <jcr:root xmlns:sling="http://sling.apache.org/jcr/sling/1.0" xmlns:cq="http://www.day.com/

I am trying to access the user admin page on our publishers, unfortunately it is returning a blank page in some of our environments. The author page always loads. I need to make changes to just the publisher and also I want to check changes activated on the author are replicating down as it doesn't seem to be the case. What would cause the page not to display url I am using is: server:port/useradmin also tried sticking a .html on the end but no luck. Nothing obvious showing up in the logs either. Any advice would be great.

Hi.. I am facing an issue and I think I am missing any step. Please tell me the proper way..I have a component that extends foundation page component. So I put body.jsp and headlibs.jsp there. Published the code and two jsps are in publish instance. Now I deleted headlibs.jsp from author and published the whole component. But in publish instance headlibs.jsp still exists. How to remove that? I used webdav to delete that jsp directly from publish instance. But there should be a way to delete it from author instance. Please mention the steps.. thanks in advance:)

Hi,Can someone describe how CQ manages user session when for example user works with some cq page which related with another pages and in middle of his work process CQ page is updated by new publish, so user session can be spoiled by unexpected update, how CQ canhandle this case?Also what about services, user works with page which all time use some OSGi service deployed on CQ publish, app deployment update this service bundle, what happens - page remain using old OSGI service or switching to newly deployed version?I can't find this information in google, please help by describing or pointing to proper doc resources  Thanks

Hi All,I am doing ldap configuration in AEM 5.6.1 (5.6.1.20130606) as mentioned in this link http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/core/administering/ldap_authentication.htmlI used the same sample ldap which is attached in that link. I changed host ip and port number.changed repository.xml as mentioned in the link,  replaced security manager section and commented login module section.When I start AEM it is not picking up JAAS configuration itself (ldap config file). Tried all different -fork --forkargs, -nofork but it is not working. Tried on 32 bit windows 8 and 64 bit windows 2008 server.In the logs it tells as usual authentication handler missing error. How to debug why my JAAS config file is not picking. I am currently working on implementing an asset management system using Adobe AEM 5.6.1 DAM as the base and will need to bulk load 3TB worth of assets. Some other commercial asset management systems provide out of the box features to upload a metatdata descriptor (in a CSV or XML format) to be used to auto-populate metatdata with the bulk assets uploaded. I have looked at all of the Adobe DAM documentation and features in the software itself and don't see this type of functionality. I was wondering if it actually exists and if I am just missing it. Any information is greatly appreciated.

1. I'm using the AEM User admin (http://localhost:4502/libs/granite/security/content/userEditor.html) and I'm trying to change some user properties (Gender for example). Problem is my changes are not getting persisted.After saving, I get the green SUCCESS notification however when I load the user again the gender field is blank again.2. If I use the CQ5 User Admin (http://localhost:4502/useradmin) I see a different set of properties (login/firstname/lastname/mail/about/path).However, when I try to change a property I don't see a save button, and I get a notification when leaving the page that my updates will be lost.So how do I save my changes in this admin interface ?Also, why am I seeing a lot more properties in the AEM user admin (job title , address, about , ......)3. For example, When we give 'Read' access to the 'xyz' group on 'site-name' level, then 'xyz' group will have access to all the levels under 'site-name' . But now my requirement is to enable 'read' access to only specific pages(Eg: Eanble 'Read' access to Products & Services pages.) but not all. I would like to hear the possibilities.. Hi,We are trying to figure out a way to disable a user account from logging into AEM. We want to keep the account in the system, just somehow disable it and have the option to re-enable it if it is ever needed.Anyone have a solution for this? We have tried the activate/deactivate functionality in the user management console, but it does not seem to effect if the user is able to login.  Thanks!
