Like manay organizations, we have a Direct and a reseller Channel (Agents, Private Label partners, Wholesale partners). The Channel Agents use a Partner portal that is based on SFDC. These Agents often input Leads into the system so that we can help our partners market to them. When we were using Genius.com, segmenting them was a simple matter of saying whether the "Owner's Role" contains or does not contain "Partner". I could, if I needed to, use the Owner's Profile as well. Both of these fields were set up specifically for this purpose in reports and campaign lists.How do you go about performing this segmentation in Marketo? 

Is it not possible to segment a snippet? I was thinking it would be very useful to do something like this, has anyone found a way of doing it?

Does anyone know how to create a new program owner?

I would like to trigger a new campaign based off a lead clicking a link in another email but am having trouble.I assume I would use the "Clicks Link" trigger in the Smart List because an email may contain more than one link. But the link I want to use is not in the drop down menu and if I put it in mannually it says I cannot activate the campaign with an error in the Smart List.I know the link has been clicked on because this email has been going out for a long time but if you pull up a lead and look at the activity, it will say - Email Delivered - Email Opened - Clicked Email - but it won't show the actual link that was clicked on in the email.Am I missing something here?  Is there a way to make this work?

Can anyone recomend a subscription application, cloud-based, and works seamlessly with Salesforce and Marketo? We work with Multipub and it's just clunky.  

While Marketo develops their certification program, has anyone pursued the Marketing Automation Institute certification? What are your thoughts? Is it worth it?

I am looking to trigger an email based on a change in a SFDC value. Didn't see any other threads with a solution so I am asking what I think to be a fresh question. I apologize if this is a duplicate question.Any help is appreciated!

We are re-designing our landing pages to include some cool fonts using TypeKit, but I am not sure that it is possible for us to be able to view these fonts while working in the LP editor? This makes it a bit annoying to align things, since the font in the LP editor is different from the one which will ultimately render in the browser.Does anyone use custom fonts and know a possible workaround to this?

I'm running the email link performance report to try to see which links in an email are more effective. But I can't figure out what the difference is between clicks and leads. I don't  see why those numbers would be different. For instance, someone has to be a lead in order for me to send the email to them, so why would I have 46 clicks but only 40 of them being leads? Does that mean that 6 of these were people clicking the link multiple times?

We have emails with few links the user can click through. When the email is sent through Marketo Smart Campaign, I could able to view the results that the user have clicked many links from that email.We have also synced the email opens & clicks back to Salesforce activity. But in the contact activity, it is recording only the 1st link a user clicked. None of the other links are synced back to SF though the info is available within Marketo.Is this an error? Have anyone else faced this issue? How do I push all the clicked links back to SF activity so that sales people can view them.

This is an embarrasingly simple question: Do I have to manually add the munchkin code to every page on my web site, or does Marketo and the code figure itself out once I add it to my homepage?

Is there a way I could monitor who has visited a landing page, say in the last 6 months or so? It shows how many visits there has been but I cannot get the information on the people who have visited. Thanks.

We are new to Marketo and Citizen Schools and still working on internal test emails. In a simple email program set to go to a group of 7 employees pulled into a Smart  List from Salesforce, only some of them show up as "qualified." Why?Thanks!

Where can i host images in marketo that my email can pull from? When building a email in dreamweaver the images are broken in marketo and ask for a url. I ad to upload to a free web server for the time being to be able to display the images in the marketo email.-ss

We currently use a lot of our buttons in our emails. I want to be able to embed a PDF into a button that reads "Learn More"Typically in previous systems, you simply upload the document or PDF into the system and it generates a URL on the server so that you can simply hyperlink the button image to the PDF that is living on the system server.Any suggestions on how to do this?Thanks!Matt

We have multiple departments with their hands in Marketo and sometimes our Marketing Activities Tree gets really crazy and confusing. Is there any way to assign certain folders to a particular user so that someone doesn't have to view everyone else's folders? If not, any solutions other than making huge folders?

I assumed that the SFDC Type = User filter would display all of our SFDC Users, but this smart list is empty.  What does this filter do?

There is data that exists on the SFDC Account record that we would like to have updated on SFDC Leads that have the same web domain.  The only way I can think to do this is a Change Data Value single flow step with thousands of Choices, but this is not practical.  Is there another another way to do this?

Hi all. I am trying to better understand how Marketo is able to change data values in an opportunity (if at all). I understand from the following article (https://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000KytE&src=comm) that Marketo can use opportunity data from SFDC for filters and triggers in smart lists. But is it possible to create/update opportunities in the flow section? For example, create a new opportunity, update a custom field on a particular opportunity, change the stage of an opportunity, etc. I don't see our opportunity fields availble in the drop down list under the "Change Data Value" flow step, which leads me to feel that this is likely not possible :(Any ideas how? Thanks, Justin

There are two filters available (Acquisition Program and Acquisition Program Name), but only Acquisition Program Name appears in the lead record and is available as a column in the lead views.  What is the difference between these?
