Hi all,I have a requirement for develop a email template, and can-spam as well.but now the email template already there, but what's the can-spam?by search from net, per my understanding, it's the function that provide for recipients that opt-out or unsubscribe from our emails. is that correct?If so, can i add it to template?

Hi, We are using progressive profiling and have the case of a lead who had accessed an asset w/o filling the mandatory fields. It looked like the lead had received a emailing but just entered his email address (instead of full form). My guess (and my tests have confirmed it) was that the lead had in a previous life filled out all possible fields. He has received our blast w/ pre-populated email address field which he has replaced by another (new) email address. My question is: if a lead changes his email address in a form, can we retrace what was the original lead/email address? Thanks. Cécile @ Talend

Hi,I'm exporting a series of smart lists, all with the exact same customized view. 9/10 the order of columns matchs and 1/10 it doesn't. I re-export spreadsheet and this is fine. Have you also noticed that? This drives me crazy!Cécile

Does anyone have try this?Should we replace existing company names with the clean version or should we create a new field with standardized name? (e.g. Nokia US and Nokia UK can be found either under their "real name" or their standardized name "Nokia")The goal is to be able to easily tag leads that belong to same company (e.g. is Customer), to do proper segmentations or run reports.Cécile @ Talend

Our organization has in the last year expanded globally. We typically run campaigns out of our corporate office in North America and our regional office may or may not opt in to these programs. Has anyone had experience setting up global programs and have any advice on how best to do this. My concern is as we build these program out we want to ensure we are setting them up so that we can look at the data and reporting post campaign. If we set this all up under on global program is it possible to have sub programs underneath the global or how would we potentially agregate all the data for global reporting but then slice and dice the data for regional reporting. Is this even possible?

Hello!I'm trying to upload a list into Marketo and update the First Name, Last Name, and Company fields, but it won't let me import anything but the email address.  First Name, Last Name, and Company name are not blocked fields in our Marketo instance - is this something on the Salesforce side?Thanks for any help!Jenn

Hi,I am trying to figure out the best way to partly sync our SFDC leads/contacts to Marketo.I thought I could do it by creating restrictive sharing rules for our Market user, but according to this thread(http://community.marketo.com/MarketoDiscussionDetail?id=90650000000PHt9AAG), it seems to work only when let SFDC leads sync to Marketo.Does it say when someone changes lead data on Marketo which Market User can't access, Marketo still can update that lead's info on SFDC? If Marketo would update only leads which Market User can see, It is ok for me to let Marketo do it.Or as other people on that thread suggested, The best way is to create Smart Campaign to sync Marketo leads to SFDC? Can I still sync only selected SFDC leads to Marketo at the first sync by creating sharing rules for Market User?

I've been trying to do research on whether it is legal to send email campaigns to purchased list and found some mixed reviews. Does any one have any feedback on this? Thanks in advance for your response!

I am trying to create email alerts when opportunities has been created in stage 00. The only trigger I can find is "Opportunity is Updated". Will this trigger catch the creation of new opportunities? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

We launched our first engagement program earlier this week. Because we first wanted to test on a small number before rolling out to a larger part of our database, we've added about 4500 leads into the program. 2 casts have gone out and when I look at our results dashboard it appears that we 0 engaged leads.The content we are using has been optimized over the past month across several other lists testing for open rates, click-thrus and conversions - so I'm confident we are putting our best foot forward here.I understand there is a private algorithm which determines an engaged lead from a member, but I find it hard to believe that out of a list of 4500 I can't even get 1 pereson to qualify as engaged. Can anyone shed some light onto this?

A couple of months ago, our MKTO-SFDC sync failed because SFDC executed a forced refresh of the password for the account we are using to sync. It was a over a weekend so a few hundred of our leads needed to be batch processed the following Monday to get them all synced-up again.My question: Is there a way/process on the MKTO side that I can implement in order to prevent something like this from happening again? I am sure a lot of your customers on SFDC have experienced something similar.

Looking to gain some insight into lead trends, and want to see the number of leads sync'ed to SFDC over a time period, filtered by lead type, i.e. would like to see how many leads were Marketing-qualified with a specific Lead Status (Lead Status has been updated after the lead has been processed by Sales). Can I do this in Marketo or do I have to create a report in SFDC?

Has anyone else experienced the abbreviated URLs in the Sales Insight Web Activity Web Page? Mine seem strangely short compared to the URLs in the Interesting Moments tab.I thought that I made some error during installation but support says this is to be expected. I don't see why the URLs would be longer on one tab over the other. Unfortunately, the shortened URLs are not as useful.Thank you

We're sending webinar invites to our database (each webinar is a separate program) and we would like to exclude "Invited" / "Sent" member status to sync into SFDC Campaign, as it messes up campaign attribution and reporting.I know "SFDC Campaign sync" will cause all members to sync, and currently there isn't a filter by status. It's still valueble to see invited in the Program level...did anyone has a workaround for this?Thanks!Itay

Before when using the "send & track" button in outlook we had no problem, however recently it always pulls up a preview of the email. My sales reps find this annoying and would like to turn this feature off. Any help?

I have an engagement program where I am using programs with child campaigns in them to run a/b email testing, and exclude leads who have already downloaded the same  content from other campaigns.  My question is if I have a 2 week cadence and a cast is scheduled and the lead has been excluded since they already downloaded, will they automatically go to the next piece or will they have to wait 2 weeks when the next cast is set to go?Does this make sense?ThanksJason

We are preparing to sync our MS Dynamics CRM with our Marketo instance.  As part of that, we are "cleaning up" our Contact records and trying to decide if we should just deactivate them or actually delete them.During the initial CRM/Marketo sync, do inactive Contact records get loaded into Marketo?Thanks!

In the past, test emails sent to myself from Marketo would show the tracking links in the emails. This morning, I noticed that this is no longer the case--test emails only show the bare links, and only when the actual campaign is run and the "real" emails are sent do they have the tracked links. I'm not complaining--in fact this is better, so I can more easily check links, and not falsely record clicks for emails--but I wanted to confirm if this is a change others are seeing too.Example below. Is there a way to see the people youve sent tests to?

Hey all!Happy Friday!This may be a silly question, and I think I know the answer but want to 100% confirm - when adding a link to a gated piece of content as a call-to-action in an outreach email, do you need to direct the lead to a landing page with a form first, or can you take them directly to the piece of content? Or, shoud you direct them to a landing page specfic to that piece of content with a direct link and no form?What are the best practices here? Since we will already have the lead's name and email, we don't need to grab that, but not sure exactly what is necessary to make sure they are cookied for tracking and that tracking is associated with the correct lead.Hope that all makes sense, thank you in advance for any guidance!Allison
