Hello,We use CQ5.5 and have one single Author instance that replicates to two publish instances.Our users (Authors) are stored locally on the CQ5.5 Author instance, NOT in LDAP.There appears to be no requirements for password strength or aging in the CQ5.5 Author instance.Would someone please let me know how we can implement enforcement of password requirements such as strength and aging for our Authors passwords?Thank you.- Chris

Our users were running into an issue where the default "future deactivation" workflow was not running at the set time. However, i tested it and it seemed to be working fine. The only difference is that some of the pending workflows that the users had created had a different payload that was a url to wcmcommand -/bin/wcmcommand?cmd=open&path=%252Fcontent%252Finfocenter%252F ... (rest of the path) ... &_charset_=utf-8.htmlwhile all of my workflow instances had the expected/content/infocenter/...I saw this post that described why the url does not work correctly, but i'm not sure why that payload is being set with /bin/wcmcommand in the first place? With that payload it doesn't seem to run the future deactivation workflow when the time is up.Thanks

Hi, I have a page which has a number of node components underneath it. The problem I have is when the page gets activated one of these component nodes refuses to be activated. I have looked at logs but cannot find anything obvious.Any help is appreciated.Chris

Hi,I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask. I am using CA siteminder for authentication. So after successful login I am supposed to get logged in user name from siteminder header. So if the target url is a Jboss application the in HttpServletRequest object request.getHeader("sm_user") returns an encrypted value. whereas if I target url is CQ5 application page then on that page slingRequest.getHeader("sm_user") returns unencrypted value of user name. I have a question regarding CQ Client Libraries.  I currently am implementing a hybrid approach. For Example,We have client libraries folders under each one of our componentsWe also have a client library folder under our /etc/designs folder.  This folder embeds teh client library categories specified inside the apps/components directory. My question is this, using this approach is there a way to only include the client libraries for the components that are actually authored onto the page? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,I raised an earlier question about having a component named comments. From what I can see in the activation logs there is a filter (5.6.1) on the node name 'comments' and this will not automatically be published when the page is published, this was not a problem in 5.5. I have tried to change the component name to something else and have managed to activate the page with the new component name. Hi everybody!I'm using com.day.cq.search.QueryBuilder to search for pages and documents. The page search (type=cq:Page) works just fine and results hits return excerpts just fine via getExcerpt(). But I have an issue with getting excerpts (that show a part of the text where the search term was found) after searching for DAM assets (type=dam:Asset). The assets are PDFs, DOCs, PPTs and XLSs, so there actually is no issue with getting the results I was looking for. The right files with the term within the files are found - so it DOES the "inner" search, I just can't get where it finds it. The problem is that the hits' excerpts are blank, empty strings (""). I tried getExcerpts() method that returns a Map<String, String> of excerpts, but nothing useful was inside. I can't use com.day.cq.wcm.foundation.Search because of other issues and because it's not as modifiable as QueryBuilder. Can anybody help me with this please?

Hi,It looks like setting and retrieving a request attribute is a good way to pass data between several .jsp files in a component. I am trying to pass a Page object and keep getting a "type mismatch". I'm sure its something simple, but I couldn't find that exact use case googling around a bit.So in jsp 1 the setting code is:request.setAttribute("page", page);in jsp 2 the getting code is:Page myPage = request.getAttribute("page");Thanks!- Dmitry

Hi,I am trying not to load the js files in Libs folder which includes cq folder with bunch of js files and also some media/publishing js folders I am not sure where are we including these js files and also i am not using these files which is increasing my page load time. one solution we thought was having a dispatcher would solve the problem it worked but giving 404 to files avoided but was not completely eliminated. Should we uninstall any bundles or components from system/console/components please let me know.Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,I have begun to use CQ 5.6. And I have noticed one interesting thing here.When I do some changes in the blueprint's page and then activate this page.It creates a copy of this page in live copies with a suffix _msm_moved.E.g. I have a page test.html in the bluerpint and in live copies activated.if I do some changes in the blueprint's test.html and activate the page test.html.It creates a copy of this page named test_msm_moved.htmlAnd both of these pages have not changes from blueprint.However expected behaviour is changes from blueprint's page should be applied to all live copies to the same page.Does anybody know why this happen?I have not seen such feature in CQ 5.5

Hi,The CRXDE is too slow to start it takes more than 30 minutes.Can you please help me here to increase the performace i've done the below workaround.1.    Every time i start the crxde i'll delete .crxde(C:\users) file from the system.2.     Change the directory of the workspaceBelow the text from CRXDE.ini file-vmargs-Xms256m-Xmx768m-XX:MaxPermSize=128m-Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.carbon.smallFonts Here my doubt is that i've 4 GB Ram and 64 bit machine what would be the better number for maximum and minimum heap size also please let us know is there any workaround to increase the performace.Please advice!!Thanks in advance

Hi All,I have a problem with url mappings defined under Configuration tab in JcrResourceResolverImpl Section.So far there were many items defined under url mappings but after adding two new ones, resource resolver stopped resolving mappings. Those two were: "/content/brand:/brand" and "/content/mobile:/mobile".I have not seen any problems or errors in logs. Additionaly when only one of them was added, everything was working good.Could you explain what is wrong with my url mappings configuration? 

The image plugin work well only on firefox when used as dialog widget with xtype rich text . It doesn't work on chrome/IE. Hello All,How can I retrieve and set the CUG's on an asset in the DAM programmatically in Java?  I am trying to use a workflow to get the CUG's on the parent folder in the DAM for a new asset that is created (uploaded), and apply those CUG's to that asset (essentially inheriting the CUG's from the parent folder).  Thanks in advance for your help.
