Question

Report builder | how to copy

I currently have two separate Excel workbooks containing Adobe Report Builder requests—one with 100 requests and another with 50. Right now, I am using standard Excel copy-paste and cell references to display the data from both in a single file.

What is the best way to migrate the 50 active Report Builder requests directly into the 100-request workbook so they all run natively from a single consolidated file?"

Unfortunately, I don’t believe that Report Builder has any specific cross file management features.

Within the same file, you can Copy (or Cut) a data block

and Paste it to another cell location:

However, if you copy from one file, the paste option does not appear in the other file.

If you are trying to merge the requests, unfortunately, I think your only option is to manually re-build them in the other file.

If you have multiple monitors, I would open one file in each monitor and just review the logic request by request as you manually re-build them 😞  Sorry, I wish there was an easier solution available…

Yeah, I’m sorry…

I am not sure if this is a limitation on the Excel side, or something Adobe didn’t consider… at the very least I think they might be able to add an Export/Import option…

I’ve logged an Idea for this, feel free to upvote:
