Operational Email Still Excluding Unsubscribed

I'm sending an operational email and it still says that 7 will be blocked from the mailing. I looked up each record and 5 are for spam filters and the other 2 are from unsubscribed emails. It doesn't appear that it's working as an operational emails. This email was cloned from a non-operational email and then I clicked the operational email box. Any suggestions?

Is any email flagged by spam filters marked as invalid? It is likely.

The article "Soft and hard Bounces in Email" clarifies the nature and impact of each type

Bgomes is probably right on this one. I'd just like to add though that I've found a helpful way to avoid seeing a high "blocked from mailings" number is creating a global smart list that factors out any addresses that would be ineligible for mailings in the first place. These filters include:

Opt Out: False
Email address is not blank
Black list: False
Email Invalid: False
Marketing Suspended: False

I then reference this smart list (I call it "Eligible for mailings") in every outbound email campaign i send. It helps me get a much more accurate prediction of send size, and it reduces the head scratching.

Thanks for both of your suggestions and information!
