How to exclude competitor domains from all activities?

Hi,

How do I exclude a list of competitor domains, and other domains, at the system level, so that none of these domains are sent emails, form submissions from these domains don't get added to our Marketo database, etc?

I searched the Community, and could only find tips on how to set exclusions for a specific email blast, or within a landing page, but not at the system level, or at a minimum to exclude from all future emails.

You could set up a smart campaign that takes in competitors based on domain and then make them blacklisted or unsubscribed, etc (in the flow step).

If you want to group them together and keep them invisible from the sales team you could create a Competitor Queue in SFDC for this.

Kim, I followed your directions, but I do not have neither blacklisted nor unsubscribed as a flow action.

I have the email address filter in the smart list and then l said "contains"  and then put in the domain names.  Any ideas as to why I cant add them to either list under the flow step?

Hi Kristen,
Me too having nearly the same problem. I have to exclude specific set of domains from my email list. I can't use the filter as email address "contains" domains name because of having huge number of domain list. Have you done this successfully??
Suggest me, How could I exclude the specific set of domains?

Maybe you can create a Smart List that holds all your competidors domains and then just use the not "Member of a Smart List" in your email filters. You can have a Smart Campaign that runs weekly to check for competidors.

But it is not working...The domain is not getting excluded from the list.
I have created a smart list with "email adress contains @yy.com". On using this smart list I am not able to exclude the domain yy.com from my list... Any other method availble..??? or please tell me if I done something wrong..
