Google Indexing of Landing Pages

Hi Everyone,

I came upon this link to request a landing page to be indexed in google:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url?continue=/addurl

Is this part done automatically by Marketo? Or how effective is this really? my SEO team is asking me about this part of the process but I'm not certain if there are any steps taken directly in Marketo to have the page directly indexed in the system. Any knowledge you can share will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Marketo doesn't take any particular steps to get Google to index your LPs (and in many cases, you don't want people organically hitting an LP that is intended for known leads and/or intended to expire).

But you can certainly manage the appropriate <meta> tags and request crawls from Webmaster Tools to get your pages indexed. It also helps to have an "LP clearinghouse" or "past offers" page which links to all your interesting LPs. But do think about whether you really want this presence!
