Difference between Modules and Snippets

HI Everyone,

I can't understand the difference between the new Marketo Modules (Add Modules to your Email - Marketo Docs - Product Docs ) and snippets?

Aren't they both interchangeable pieces of code?

Best,

Rick

Hi Rick,

Snippets are content components that exit outside of emails and can be used in emails or landing pages. Snippets are content, meaning a snippet will contains actual text and images.

Modules are flexible email blocks that can be added to (or removed from) an email to create additional sections, but they do not contain content. They contain elements that the user will have to fill in with content. And a rich text elements can be fill in with a snippet.

Hi Gregoire,

Thanks for your fast answer! Could you maybe give me an HTML example?

Wouldn't I be able to insert a MktoEditable into the snippet and achieve the same results?

Sorry for the questions: new user over here

Hi Rick,

You will insert a snippet in an mktEditable or in a mktoText, as you always could in v1. But not the opposite. Nothing is changed here.
