Workfront/Microsoft Teams Integration Functionality Contributor and Light Licenses
I’m being asked to research the potential benefits of using the Workfront integration for Microsoft Teams. Since we don’t currently have access to it in our Teams app store, we need to provide a use case for IT to authorize use.
While reading through the Adobe Experience League documentation, I read that you could receive (certain) notifications through Teams that you would normally get in Workfront or Outlook, which would be an excellent use case for cutting down on emails or responding to notifications faster since our employees are in Teams 99% of their worktime. However, I noticed that the access requirements say that the article content applies to Standard licenses.
Does this mean users that are Light or Contributor will not receive any notifications in Teams from Workfront? They are the users who are primarily asked to approve work and are tagged when more info is needed for their requests, so it would be a bummer for our use case if they didn’t get the notifications. If you have direct experience with this integration and can verify if all users, not just Standard license holders, would get notifications, I would sincerely appreciate it.
PS - I would still pursue approval with IT to try the integration either way, but it would be helpful for me to set expectations on what it can/can’t do as accurately as possible.
