Word documents not converting to Proofs

Has anyone had any issues with converting Word docs to Proofs?

We use Microsoft Word Templates (dotx) files, update with new content and save as a Word doc (docx). However, those new Word docs aren't successfully converted to proofs. Any ideas?

Hi @felipareyes - I normally see problems converting Word documents to proofs when the file size is too large. Files must be less 4GB is the overall rule, but for Word documents specifically that number is much less at 512MB. If they are over this size, maybe converting the files to PDF for proof would help?

 

If the files aren't over 512MB then might be worth reaching out to WF Support so they can login directly and see the problems first-hand.

Thanks for the follow up @vicsellers . Our file sizes are pretty small, so that isn't the issue. We have been converting to PDF as a workaround but our team makes direct edits in Word and that is the preferred format. I have contacted support, but they haven't been able to identify the issue. I will keep on digging!
