Users and their Job Roles

Question

I have multiple resources that have multiple roles within our organization. The resources are setup with three separate roles within the user settings, but when I try to report on the actual or planned hours per each specific role, the report is only returning the primary role. In addition, when assigning these users to the job role within the project, I am not getting a drop down list. Has anyone run into this before and do you have any suggestions on accurate reporting per job role?

When it comes to assigning users to the job role in a project, I rely heavily on the Workload Balancer of the project itself, specifically the Bulk Assign function.

Hi Sue, Can you make sure"Assign job roles to hour entries manually"is checked? and on the task level add the assignee’srole.(specific role for fulfilling this task).Report: Use Hours Report( for Actuals) or Assignments (planned). Do Not group by Role instead, group by Role.(Can be found under the hour or Assignment object in report builder).
