Question

Transfer Project Stakeholder to Another User

We had an employee leave the company, recently, and we have 5 active projects they submitted. Can I change ownership of this project to another person, so I can deactivate the other account? Note, the new owner of the project would not have tasks, they are just the requester.

I have not seen a recent post about this, and hoping it has been resolved.

Hi @Bewitched_Enigmad41f,

This can be done without an issue, I am not sure what kind of access rights you have but if you are system admin you can change the owner for any project. Navigate to the project, click the owner and set a new one, or open a view with a list of projects and change them in one view.

Best regards,

Hello. I am an admin on the account. Do you have a screen shot of where to change the owner? I am not locating it. Also, can this happen before the request is processed into a project?

Hi @Bewitched_Enigmad41f,

On the project itself it can be easily changed by navigating to the project and clicking on the owner user and changing it, or manually navigating to … options and finding and replacing project owner.

Please check the screenshots.

Regarding the point if this can happen before the request is process, this depends on how you assign the owner, is it manually, is it via Fusion or?

Best regards,
Ivan

The initial requester will always be stamped as the person who created the request. If you need to reassign the request to a new owner, that would be the primary contact field. You can usually find that field in the request details section. Once you assign a new primary contact that person will have all the access needed from the request standpoint.

If you have reports that display a request owner name, I recommend changing these all to the primary contact name. By default an owner is a primary contact, so this field is always filled in no matter what.
