Adobe Workfront General

Hello! As our Project Managers work on different projects and have to switch often between them it would be great if Views an Filters could be set per project. Means for Project A I want to set Filter 1 and for Project B Filter 2. And if I switch between the projects the last filter selected on the project should remain set.If I am in the Gantt view and reload the project I would expect that the Gantt is opened again.ThxStephan

Description - Refresh icon / button on the Updates section to see if any instant replies has been received. Why is this feature important to you - saves time without having the need to refresh the page or go elsewhere in the site. How would you like the feature to work - like the Dashboard report refresh, a refresh button on the UPdates / comments section wlill be very useful.Current Behaviour - when the comments are made, message is sent to the person intended to. However his//her reply is not seen unless we refresh or come back again on the same page later.

Proposing to have 'general time' included within actual hours on the Resource Planner page. While planned and actual project hours tell the story of resource utilization, the missing piece to this story is seeing how general time spent on non project work (administration, training, research, etc.) impacts each users overall utilization. It would also be nice to have the option to filter types of hours. For example, filtering to exclude all general time or specific general time categories. This would give everyone more flexibility in using the resource planner based on how they work and what they consider actual time for utilization/capacity purposes.

Description - The new Boards feature can be configured per layout to show or not show. However, the task menu option always shows "Add to Boards" and "Add to Workstreams", even though users do not have access to boards. This creates confusion and potentially issues of tasks being moved without a way to recover or review. Why is this feature important to you - We cannot fully control access to Boards currently. How would you like the feature to work - If a user's layout does not include Boards, there should not be any options related to Boards

Description - The current local search feature only searches within the current page showing. With a 2k record limit per page, if there are multiple pages of data, the local search does not work to filter the resulting list to just the matching search items. This mean the search is useless since I still have to page through the list to get to the page that might have a local search match.   Why is this feature important to you - This is an important feature because it allows searching within the current object without having to page (search for projects in the entire project list or a resource within the entire resource list)   How would you like the feature to work - It should do a server-side filter of the search string rather than a local filter on the current page of data.   Current Behaviour - Anything in the search box will only match records within the current page of data.

I'm aware that Workfront Reporting Canvas will be available in coming months, but it would be nice to have Workfront API working with Viz tools like Power BI and Tableau.

Description - Currently, all proof indicators switch to green when a proof is approved, even when some reviewers have yet to opened the proof. Users see this as a glitch as it indicates they have seen, commented, etc, when they have not.Why is this feature important to you - ease of use / clarity for usersHow would you like the feature to work - rather than turning green, can the indicators be marked n/a or something other than green? Current Behaviour - all proof indicators switch to green when a proof is approved, even when some reviewers have yet to open the proof

Description - Using the Task Reference #, Add the ability to include it in multiple projects that share the same task but use different workflows or need to see it as a trigger to start a workflow. Why is this feature important to you - Reduce template/workflow redundancy or being forced to include another team's workflow in a larger workflow just to keep the team notified. How would you like the feature to work - When creating a new task, have the option to plug in a Task Reference number from another project. Any updates made in one project would reflect across other projects using the same task#. All aliased tasks could be denoted by using italicized fonts.Current Behaviour - N/A

When copying a project, we would like to be able to remove the budget hours option in the checklist. We still want to allow PM’s to copy a project though but this new option would cause issues to our process if selected.

Hello everyone,When I add a comment to a proof on the desktop application, I can use Ctrl + N as a keyboard shortcut but it doesn't work as I expect on interactive proofs. For example, I create a proof for Google like the screenshot I attached, and open it using the desktop application. If I want to add a markup and a comment to the popup under the mic icon, I have to use any keyboard shortcut because the popup disappears when I move my mouse away. However, any keyboard shortcut doesn't work just after I do something on the page.To use the keyboard shortcut, I have to click the menu bar of the desktop application once. So, when I become able to use the keyboard shortcut, all popups already disappear.Does it make sense?I'm happy if you can agree with me and Workfront will improve the application!Regards,

Description - Email notifications are not very configurable, especially at the user level. It would be great if users could mute notifications for specific objects or the admin could select what statuses get overdue notifications. Why is this feature important to you - reduce notification SPAMHow would you like the feature to work - Enable users to mute email notifications on an object by object basis (for a day/week/month) and give admins the ability to configure what statuses do and do not get notifications. e.g. On Hold statuses do not get overdue notifications.Current Behaviour - Users and Admins cannot control notifications at this level causing users to enter arbitrary dates on requests to prevent notification overload.

Description - Formatting options for the message body of the email for scheduled report deliveryWhy is this feature important to you - 1. I would like to include a separate embedded link in the description field to display under the report name when a report if being viewed - (external link, not Workfront link)  2. I would like to use formatting to break up or bullet point report descriptions that display under the report name  How would you like the feature to work - a formatting tool bar for the report description field would be idealCurrent Behaviour - currently, the text in the description field of a report displays as plain text under the name. I can use returns, however, I am unable to use bold, underline, italic or embed an html link in that field. If you use ONLY a url, then it is clickable.  However, that is pointless when you cannot label it or explain why a user should click it.

Description - Formatting options for the message body of the email for scheduled report deliveryWhy is this feature important to you - 1. I would like to include embedded links in the body of the email instead of long, ugly urls   2. recipients do not pay attention to the plain text in the email notification for report deliveries. It is overshadowed by the large blue report name that looks like the primary point of the email message.  How would you like the feature to work - a formatting tool bar to use in the Email Message field would be idealCurrent Behaviour - currently, the message body is lost because the report heading link looks like to most important part of the email and the plain text looks like secondary information or even disclaimer or footnote.

When a resource goes out of the office, weather it is 1 day or 6 months, sometimes timelines cannot shift, so someone else needs to complete out tasks, issues, requests, proofs, etc.... We would like to have an option in the profile setting for each resource that they could place in an OOO and who is covering for a specific date range. The OOO would then delegate all tasks, issues, requests, etc... to the person outlined in the OOO. The resource delegated would be able to finish items on behalf of the person out. When the person would return they would turn the OOO off and everything would revert back to the true owner.

Description - We are using Project custom form. There are set of fields which are defined below a section break where only Workfront Admin can make any edits , changes or updates. So in essence none of the fields should appear as editable for non admin users , they should be greyed out. But for "Single Line Text field" for which we are using format as "currency" and  is used to save amount (in dollars ) appears as editable. Any user can make an update to  the values in this field. However when user tries to save these values, an error is thrown "You must be a system admin to change this custom data parameter value." Thus data integrity is maintained but its not good user experience Why is this feature important to you - This is required for good user experience. Currently this is causing confusion to end users. How would you like the feature to work - All the fields under "Admin  Only " section break needs to be greyed out and not show as editableCurrent Behavio

There are certain issues and tasks that I want to be notified whenever a new update is made on it, without being assigned to it.

When modifying a layout template's header fields, we noticed 'Priority' isn't an option under Tasks or Issues. Reference Number and Status are, which are basic information, so it would also be helpful to have 'Priority' available in the header instead of having to click into task/issue details.

As a Workfront user who has a need to access the AEM DAM, I want a seamless experience accessing AEM DAM assets in Workfront environment If I am an existing AEM DAM user on Workfront, I want Workfront Connector to allow access to AEM DAM content as per my existing AEM user access permission without creating a separate user profile in AEM If I am not an existing AEM DAM user, when using Workfront I want Workfront Connector to inform me to get access to the DAM - inorder to browse AEM DAM content from within Workfront e.g. “No preview of content, please request access to AEM DAM”

It would be good to have a option to make it mandatory for a user to log time to a task before than can mark it as complete.

Description - Admins need the ability to govern their own instance. Showing menu items to users that they can never use just adds clutter and confusion to an already complex project management system. Admins should have the ability to show or hide EVERYTHING via layouts. Why is this feature important to you - The Product Managers are more and more taking away our ability to manage what our users see by introducing "features" that the user will never use and are sometimes against company policy, that we as admins cannot hide from them. How would you like the feature to work? - In the Layouts area, have a section for the "More" menu that allows us to hide or show the menu items individually (Add to Boards, Add to Iteration, Add to Kanban Board, Copy to..., Move to..., Duplicate)Current Behaviour - No ability for admins to set up an instance that actually guides the user through the Standard Operating Procedure for their organisation, by showing what the user needs and hiding what will just

Currently, although a sorting is defined in a report view, the user can set a own sorting by clicking on the column headers in the report. With this option, one faces the issue, that the default sorting of the report cannot be restored (neither by changing the view nor by the user himself - e.g. when multiple sort levels are defined). Only option is to reset the user preferences, which is not a good solution. We request either one of the following options:to be able to restrict own sorting on reports by userto be able to reset to default sorting directly in the report

Description - Why is this feature important to you The primary reason for us to request this is to facilitate information sharing, which would improve readability and its integrity, since formatting it adequately would increase the probability to reach its destination as it was intended. The kind of information shared through this channel includes Project IDs, hashed of CNAME records, domain names, etc. which require to be transmitted exactly as they were generated.   How would you like the feature to work Markdown is a relatively simple syntax to implement in these kind of systems and has a low performance cost.   In case the support of a complete set of Markdown syntax capabilities is out of discussion, we would like to request the implementation of a "code block" syntax so the text inside it would be shown a mono-spaced type font (where all the characters have the same width and height).   2. Additionally we would like to request the support for key bindings inside th

Description - Dont include "Parent Task- Do not Assign" on Overdue Task ReportsWhy is this feature important to you - I don't need to filter through 90 overdue tasks only to find 4 that are actually not parent tasks. How would you like the feature to work - Have an option to not include them in reports.Current Behaviour -

Description - Our Resource Managers would love a feature that allows us to move resources around within WLB Why is this feature important to you - As our resource team increases, it would be simpler to be able to move & view for example a writer and designer's capacity next to each other vs creating a filter. How would you like the feature to work - Resource Manager simply moves resources around within WLBCurrent Behaviour - 2 options: sort by primary role or alpha order; Or adding a filter

Description -Why is this feature important to you - It is possible that this feature is important for project managers who want to avoid cluttering their team members' inboxes with notifications for tasks that have already been completed. This could help improve communication efficiency and reduce unnecessary distractions for team members. How would you like the feature to work - If this feature is implemented, it could work by allowing project managers to configure the project settings to disable notifications for completed tasks. Alternatively, it could be implemented as a user preference, where team members can choose to receive or not receive notifications for completed tasks.Current Behaviour - No option to change notification specific to this settings.
