Adobe Workfront General

Good morning all,Myself and my colleagues have recently noticed that the months are not displaying on the Gantt chart view of any project we work on. As it has affected several of us, i assume this isn't a user error, but potentially a system change that has caused this.Does anyone know how to display the months again in the Gantt Chart view? Please see attached a screenshot to see the current view (months should be displaying under 'Quarter').Thanks in advance

I'm working on a report where one of the columns pulls an ID from a custom form field and I was wondering if it's possible to use that ID to create a clickable URL to an external page where the ID is a part of the URL, for example: https://example.net/CustomFormField/view If it is possible, how would that look like in text mode? Thank you!

I need to be able to set the Milestone view on a report to be the default, so that users don't have to change their view when they pull up the report.  It looked like I could do this under Report Settings by checking the box for "Show the Milestone view on the Details tab" and un-checking the box for "Allow View to be changed on the report." However, when I apply and save, the report is still generating in the "Report Default" view with the columns. See screenshots.  Please note that I've build and tested this in the Preview environment only. TIA.     

The current embedded forms look like this: compared to what moderd design has to offer, this looks poor. Examples @workfront support any plan to make this look better? The last conversation I could find on this subject was 4 yrs ago and was wondering if there are new insights or rational POV to convince copywriters to use WF Proof over Google Docs.Would love to know if there is a team that would mind sharing their process where they have found success or even a middle ground? This is the feedback I received today..."PDF proofs that save to WF are very cumbersome for copy conversations that happen PRIOR to approval stage. They also result in multiple documents not associated with the working file, which has caused comments to fall through the cracks.".   I've tried using the argument that these "conversations" are still historical data that needs to be captured in the proof, but I"m losing the battle!

I've built a report using the filter described on this post Solved: Report to identify cross-project dependencies - Adobe Experience League Community - 496229 On my report columns I'd like to be able to see the name of the Cross Project, as well as the name of the predecessor task. Any tips on how to accomplish this?   

I'm being asked if there is a way for Workfront/Workfront Proof to automatically send late proof emails to users if they have not made a decision on their stage. In my research, I don't believer there is but I thought I would ask. Thanks!

I would like to create a report which lists all active users and what access they have to which request queue - for example we have some external agencies who I want to only see one or two request queues. When I go to the queue project (? right term?) and click on share, they are not listed as having access but can see it in their dropdown. I would still like to create the report to review, where would I start? A queue report? Thank you

Our team captures metadata on deliverables as parent tasks, which are made up of the steps represented by the subtasks. I typically create reports based on the parent tasks to show the status of each deliverable. I'd like to add a column to a report with the planned completion date of the first subtask (the first task nested under the parent task that is displayed in the report). Is this possible? I should also mention that our projects typically contain more than one of these parent tasks, so the first subtask won't always be task No. 2 in the project.

how to get document folder name or id in Document type custom form in Workfront?

I'm not sure this is possible given the relationship of project & issue but wanted to ask the community... We're trying to create a report that creates a combined issue & project.  Similar to this:  https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront/using/reporting/reports/custom-view-samples/report-combined-task-issue-view-grouping  The issues are in a request queue and not connected to any of the projects that would be in the combined report.  We have a few things in text mode but can't get anything to work.  The easiest solution would be to create a dashboard with 2 separate reports but the user was requesting 1 report so we at least wanted to ask.  Thanks!

Is there currently an option through the layout templates to show custom data at the project level in the new priorities page? I used to be able to view information at the surface more easily using Home and now I can't. If this isn't possible today, is it being discussed as future functionality? I don't want to go into each project if I don't have to.

I have a Documents report that lists all documents from all Projects within a Program.I want to make the column Project: Converted Request Name a clickable link so user can easily get to the originating Request.I tried the code from this discussion, but unfortunately, it did not work.Any help is appreciated.

Hi Community, Has anyone else noticed the new random personal project that has been created for all users since the launch of Priorities on the 17th October? I can't see anything about this on the release notes. It's impossible to find these projects through searches or project reports, and the only way to get into the project is through Resource Management. And this is where out problem lies. For our Traffic Managers, these projects only view as "inaccessible projects" which leaves them asking what this could be. Generally, out Traffic managers have manage access to all projects. As administrators, we can't delete them, so we're trying to find a way to bulk update them to be included in portfolio's that our Traffic Managers have automatic share access to.Screenshots below show them in the Priorities view and the Resource Management. Does anyone know of a good way to delete / bulk update them?Thanks View for Traffic Managers    

It's not a question, but is it just me missing filter preview on a report page? This is result of latest update. I really miss this feature, it helped me quickly understand what I have in the report since description is not always available. Anyone else having the same thoughts?  

It would be great if we could see any and all attached documents on tasks in Priorities. How is this not included? That's a big omission. I will have to talk to our major stakeholders to see if we should disable Priorities for the time being like many of you already have. 

Seeking to learn how others managed the rollout of the Unified Experience for Workfront from their end users experience.  How did you communicate the change to your users?Did the removal of branding become an issue?Did the UI pose any challenges to the users?Any lessons learned that we should leverage?

Also for extra fun, is there a way to pull the collection of assignment users instead of the assigned to?

For anyone who is using Kanban within the Boards module > I am curious to know what issues or limitations you've experience with the Boards module.   We currently using Teams for both Scrum and Kanban teams, but are looking into transition Kanban to Boards.  Any insight or wisdom is greatly appreciated.

Hi For the last 6 years we have had one Milestone Path that we use on all major projects. However, I am ramping up for a very large campaign coming up that will involve several projects that will have very different milestones.  So, I created a new milestone path and a new project template.  I have associated the new project template with the new milestone path.  Currently when use the milestone view on the project screen I only see the original Milestone Path and none of the new test projects I created with the new milestone template. How do I create a dashboard that only contains this New Milestone project view for my C-suite?  They want to be able to check in on the project without having to ask for updates.  

Hello, I have been fielding issues all day relating to Workfront proofs - has anyone else had issues today ? I did put a question in community and found one that said it was because of the new release - and then saw it was 2020 - lol !  I have raised a Customer Support ticket too. I am wondering if it is to do with the new release? Its either people getting error on approvals widget or can't access a proof when others can. Is there a work around? Thank youEmma @8695269  Emma

Our Workfront users have just started receiving daily summary emails from proofs out of nowhere (even when their proof settings are set to 'no email'). I submitted a ticket with WF and they said that all users on a proof receive a daily summary by default and the only way to turn it off is for each user to go into the proof settings (on the individual proof) and disable the emails. They have no explanation for why it’s happening now and it wasn’t previously or why people are getting them when their settings are 'no email'. I can stop all proof notifications to users at the admin level, but that would stop all notifications, which we don’t want to do. I can’t just turn of daily summaries.  Has anyone else had this issue? 

I'm wanting to create an external lookup field that will return the names of all the active Custom Forms.  I would prefer to have this so that reporting is easier.
