Hi there. Our team is working on redesigning the bulk editing experience of various WF objects like projects, tasks&issues, users etc. We’d love 45-60 minutes to gain some feedback on the prototypes that we have put together via Teams call. This gives you a valuable opportunity to not only see the direction we’re heading, but also let us know how we can improve functionality and ensure positive user experience for you and your company. If you’re interested, use this link to schedule a time. If for some reason you cannot find an available time, but are still interested, send me and email and let me know! Here is the link: https://calendly.com/d/dpw-bh4-955/bulk-editing
One group of users has decided to retroactively add predecessors to tasks on their template. Adding predecessors to the template is easy; adding the predecessors to their existing projects based on that template is harder. I'm trying to build a report for them that filters the task they want to add the predecessor *to* - we'll call it "Task X". And in the same report, I'd like to include all the tasks that share the same parent as X (because the predecessor task is *not* the parent, but it's definitely somewhere in the same set of child tasks as X.) This should make it easy for the users to locate the task number that should be filled in as the predecessor for X. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Thanks!
We'd love to be able to assign document access at the folder level on a project template. There are some folders that we don't want our clients to have access to and some folders where they need access.
When sorting on a column, if the column width is reduced enough, the sort arrow can become hidden, which makes it difficult to recognize this situation. The arrow should either always be visible or the heading should be styled differently along with the sort direction arrow. For example, making the sorted column's header backgound color blue or some other color to indicate that it is sorted would help, even if the column width is reduced to a minimum. Alternatively, add a button to "reset" the UI to help users restore their view.
Hi I am pretty sure that just a few weeks ago when I would create a new project the due date would default to 5:00 PM. Now when I create a project it is putting in the time it is right now no matter what the date I'm choosing. Has something changed? Am I crazy? Is there a way to get new projects created from a template to default to a certain time?
This error is occuring on Violette Radomski's page. She is unable to create proofs and she is unable to get onto projects she has access to. Can you let us know if there is an outage?
Smart tagging in update stream (https://one.workfront.com/s/document-item?bundleId=the-new-workfront-experience&topicId=Content%2FProduct_Announcements%2FProduct_releases%2F22.3_release_activity%2F22-3-may-16.htm&_LANG=enus) is coming up in the next release, and I was wondering if anyone thought this was handled well. My comment to our CSM was, that the majority of customers are probably like us: the majority of your licenses are reviewer or free licenses and use of a job role is contraindicated in these users (they are not assigned work and roles are a placeholder for work assignments). This means that exposing a primary role is -- at best -- useless, because the majority will be empty. It will also be useless for identification purposes, because most primary job roles bear no resemblance to what the user is best known for in the company. At worst users will experience FOMO (fear of missing out) and suddenly start demanding a role for no reason other than to have something
I FINALLY got our creative team to use the custom form for a brief and now they are saying that one of the fields cuts them off and they need more character count. I used the Text Box / Paragraph Text Box / L which is the largest text box I can find. Anybody run into this and have a solution?
We used to be able to approve timesheets off of a report or off of the Timesheets page without clicking in to each timesheet. Now it looks like that is disabled as of this morning. Anyone else running into this problem?
Does anyone else think Blueprints does NOT reflect their working style? We will NEVER use blueprints because it doesn't reflect our business at all, nada, nil, null, etc. Our official policy is to use an admin created, vetted, official template, no ecxeptions. Why is Workfront taking away our ability to govern what users see? With all the talk of governance, Workfront is eroding our ability to govern. We chose Workfront for our ability to customize what users see based on OUR policies and SOP, not Workfront's uneducated recommendations. Forcing an unusable feature on us seems like a pretty arrogant blunder.

Budgeted HoursWe have recently adopted the Resource Planner to allocate the amount of time we would like each team member to work on a particular client. For context.....We have not adopted a fully task based approach ( ie: create and assign a task for every piece of client work we do ) , instead we have a very simple approach that allows us to be malleable and efficient. We use projects aligned to our clients and then tasks to define the products and services we provide for the client. Our team members simply add these to their timesheets and track time as needed. This is a very easy approach that captures the information we need ( Actual hours ) and works well for us at this time. Where we are now is that we need to capture the Planned work. To meet this requirement we use Budgeted Hours in the Resource Planner to align each user in our teams to the clients they work on and allocated them a set number of "budgeted hours" for each client. This is the time over the course of
We would like to request that the innovation lab consider working on a solution to automatically program a script so that when moving a proof to the next task, we do not have to look through multiple jobs or find the next task number to find the next task. Is it possible to automate it so that when moving, the next task name automatically populates instead of searching for it?
I have a request field that is one that I believe came with WF that I didn't build. It is a calculation "Requested by Who?" and has a formula that works on all my request object forms except one. When I add the field to this wonky form the calculation part isn't populated, so I put the formula in "additional settings", the same way it is on the other request forms, and I get an error. What am I doing wrong? Formula: IF(ISBLANK({Requested By Who?}),Entered By.Name,{Requested By Who?}) Error: Requested By Who? field is used in a multi-form configuration, if you would like to change this formula you will need to remove this field and replace it with a new one containing the desired calculation.

The in-built workfront calendar has a limit of 20 projects that you can add. Please remove this barrier as we can't use the calendar functionality for planning and seeing an overview with these limitations.
Hi, our cyber team wants us to deactivate a bulk group of users. I can not find an option to do this in the platform and it takes very long to work one by one. Is there a way i can do this in bulk OR give you the list of users to deactivate for us so you can action in the back end. Thanks. @Lauren Mason‚ - FYI - @Emma Hampson‚
Hi everyone, I asked this in another discussion thread but did not get any responses so trying to ask here. Wondering if you've ever created a comprehensive Editorial dashboard? My team is looking to see the list of tasks with corresponding proof links within the same dashboard and the number of comments that's been placed on the proof. Thank you!
Now that custom forms can be used by multiple object types, we need the ability to specify if a field should be shown/hidden on certain objects. For example, a custom form that is used for Requests and Projects may have certain fields that are not required when submitting the request, but need to be required to populate when converting the request to a project. Currently the only solution is to copy the form and go back to having separate forms for different object types.
It would be beneficial to be able to assign ownership of risks for continued tracking and accountability.
I'd like to have some sort of autosave or recovery option for Fusion scenarios so that if you are working on a scenario and a browser issue occurs, you don't lose all of your work when you refresh the page. Either an autosave feature, or some kind recovery mechanism similar to the way MS Office or Linux does where it hangs onto the temp file you are working from and offers to load that temp file for you on the next time you try to load it.
Hello, Community, One of the most common piece of feedback we receive about custom forms is that the process of building calculated fields is time-consuming, as it's difficult to find the problems and fix them quickly. I'm glad to inform that earlier today new functionality of enhanced error validations in calculated fields has been enabled in Preview, which will make it easier for you to identify the errors in calculations. Particularly: Calculation errors will be highlighted in red so you can easily identify themHovering over the highlighted part will show a tooltip clarifying the problem that needs to be fixed. Can you please check it out and let me know your feedback about this enhancement? Also I'd like to remind you, that a few weeks ago we introduced a new updated syntax for calculated fields, in order to streamline the process of referencing fields within calculations and avoid any confusions. Please make sure you follow this syntax in Preview while working with
