Now that custom forms can be used by multiple object types, we need the ability to specify if a field should be shown/hidden on certain objects. For example, a custom form that is used for Requests and Projects may have certain fields that are not required when submitting the request, but need to be required to populate when converting the request to a project. Currently the only solution is to copy the form and go back to having separate forms for different object types.
It would be beneficial to be able to assign ownership of risks for continued tracking and accountability.
I'd like to have some sort of autosave or recovery option for Fusion scenarios so that if you are working on a scenario and a browser issue occurs, you don't lose all of your work when you refresh the page. Either an autosave feature, or some kind recovery mechanism similar to the way MS Office or Linux does where it hangs onto the temp file you are working from and offers to load that temp file for you on the next time you try to load it.
Hello, Community, One of the most common piece of feedback we receive about custom forms is that the process of building calculated fields is time-consuming, as it's difficult to find the problems and fix them quickly. I'm glad to inform that earlier today new functionality of enhanced error validations in calculated fields has been enabled in Preview, which will make it easier for you to identify the errors in calculations. Particularly: Calculation errors will be highlighted in red so you can easily identify themHovering over the highlighted part will show a tooltip clarifying the problem that needs to be fixed. Can you please check it out and let me know your feedback about this enhancement? Also I'd like to remind you, that a few weeks ago we introduced a new updated syntax for calculated fields, in order to streamline the process of referencing fields within calculations and avoid any confusions. Please make sure you follow this syntax in Preview while working with
Hi everyone! I’m reaching out to you on behalf of Adobe Fusion’s UX team to express our interest in collaborating with you over a short survey we would like your input on. We believe that Your small input will make a huge difference to the product. If this is of interest to you, you'll only need to answer a couple of questions (with preselect answers). It shouldn't take over 5 minutes. If you're in, please follow the link which will take you directly to the questionnaire. Here is the survey link: https://workfront.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bE1vN7wqObWoZ94Also, if you know any other Fusion users, please share the Survey link with them! Thank you,Anna & Fusion UX team
When creating a chart within a report I'm trying to Group Data by the field Entered By: Home Group but it's not working. So, I'm wondering if it's not possible or if there is another field I should use instead. Left (Y) Axis - Record CountBottom (X) axis - Actual Completion DateGroup Data by - Entered By - Home GroupLine chart Trying to show count of requests submitted by Group. Thanks!
Current Scenario -1 single company - comprising of separate Groups by accounts(departments..). There can be common resources working on both the Accounts (part of both the groups) we will called them as "Shared Resources", this feature works fine by having User be part of the 2 groups (Home Group A and Other Group B)However there can also be a situation where there are resources who are meant to work EXCLUSIVELY for 1 specific Group (User's profile comprise of only 1 GROUP i.e. his Home Group), in this case, the system will still allow the select this user on a project belonging to other group (assignment of task) because this Exclusive Resource is still part of the same company as the Project Owner. Currently there is NO SUCH option to restrict assignment of work in a situation where Users belonging to SAME COMPANY, but unique GROUPS have ZERO access to each other (creation of virtual Partition in between Users within same Companies through GROUPS).
Approvals are a great feature within Workfront. Unfortunately, in their current state, their usability is limited. We are requesting improved options and flexibility for approval processes, including: 1. Specify actions (eg status change) to be taken if APPROVED. 2. Increase available options for REJECTION and APPROVAL - eg, change status, add an update, prevent edits, etc. 3. Add comments to rejection issue created (currently, they only appear under project updates instead of in the issue created by the rejection). 4. Add the ability to hold the project/task/issue status at a certain level until the approval has completed. 5. Make approvals an automatic, and enforced, predecessor of project tasks being ready to start.
*Sorry about posting the wrong topic* Some of our users have previously typed in bad or old email addresses when creating document proofs and posting comments. WF seems to remember these as "autofill" suggestions later. Consequently, these wrong emails keep being used in the proofing/commenting process - so that the real people never actually receive those proofs/comments. Warnings and hand-slap communications have been sent out but that doesn't really solve the problem long-term How can I delete bad/old emails and make it so that they are not even suggested by WF's autofill logic?
Hi, Would anyone know why Workload Balancer shows excess hours planned for each day?Highly appreciate your recommendation in this regard. Why allocation in days lesser than duration in project plan as shown above...??Project not connected to any schedule, also, in Setup --> Project Preferences --> Projects--> Timeline calculation (8 hrs for each day for 5 days / week). Please refer attachment. MvhKundan.
I have been training people at my company on WF and I've been telling them if they delegate their approvals during a certain time, that they WILL NOT get emailed during that time frame. Only I set this up with two test subjects (so I wouldn't clog up anyone's actual inbox) and I realized that the person I put as my approval delegate is NOT getting the proof and the test subject on vacation is still getting the proof and also an email said that they need to look at that proof. Why would someone who delegates their proof approvals still be getting emails and also getting that proof in their work list? And why wouldn't the actual person who the proofs are delegated to get notified to do so? Deanne Curley The Vitamin Shoppe
I have been planning around with a report and can't seem to figure it out. I would like to make a report that shows tasks completed in a certain month. IE 9/1/21 to 9/30/21. Then I would like it to pull the people attached to a certain team but it might not be their home team. Anyone have some advice for this? Thanks
Hello, For those who participated in the Workfront Boards Beta, are any of you experiencing issues with viewing Members on your Boards? For example, we had a Board that was in use by several members and a few days ago, all Members are no longer appearing. This is causing all Assignments to not show up and the Filters to be blank under the Users. We are unable to re-add the Members almost as if they still have access but we can't view them. As a workaround, I decided to build another Board and copy the cards from the other manually, but again I'm finding I cannot add certain members for some odd reason.
Before we started using Single Sign On (SSO) to access Workfront, there were notifications on the login screen. These were system notifications from Workfront indicating possible issues with Workfront or notifying the users that Workfront would be going down at a particular time. Now that we use SSO, we don't see those notifications, because we don't have a login screen. Is the a way you can put those notifications on a banner on the user's landing/home page? That would be very beneficial. The banner could go away automatically after about 10 seconds, and the user could manually close the banner.
We are currently in the process of going from multiple request queues with queues topics to one queue with a custom form. The queue topics were based off of product types and we were using these to report and chart on number of requests by product type. With our new queue custom form, the products types are now embedded in the form as a multi-select field. As we move to this new queue structure is there a way to report off total requests by product type off the old queue structure (where product type is a queue topic) and the new queue (where product type is off custom form field)? So, get total requests from both? Can we Aggregate in some way? I created two calculated fields to pull in the Topic Group from the queue and the Product Type from the field to help with reporting. How do I take these fields and create a chart showing number of requests submitted for each? Can I create another calculated field and combine them into one field? Any help or ideas on this is appreciated. Thanks
I have multiple projects in a program that I can't bulk edit because the tasks in those projects aren't 100% complete. Is there a way to bulk edit those tasks to 100%?
Hi WF Community, Is there a way to create a view or a report that I can see the created (entry) date for all reports and sort accordingly? I might be blind and missing this. Thanks.Nick
Hello to All, Unable to resolve this, do not "Why showing extremely high negative value. Any Suggestion?" Please refer attachment. MvhKundan.
It would be great if a pop-up could be made that would prevent an approver from closing out a proof without making a decision, once they have provided mark-ups.
When I have a bar chart with a grouping/X axis using custom quarters, it doesn't show the quarters sequentially, it shows them in alpha order. This naturally screws up the order of the bars in the chart. Example, it's showing in this order:Q2 2022Q2 2023Q3 2022Instead of what it should be:Q2 2022Q3 2022Q4 2022...Even if I were to put the year first and then quarter - 2022 Q2 - it would still show out of order. This needs to be fixed so grouping by quarter works!
Hi, I have data more than 200 hundred, and for all of individual it is very hard to create 200 choices in custom form to select while submittingan issue. Since, it is very time consuming to create 200 choices manually. How to create many choices, visible in custom form during submitting issue. We have 200 such article number and also few changes during every year. Could be extremely helpful if any workable suggestion? Please refer attachment. Best regards,Kundan.
My team and I have come across a rather annoying and tricky bug within the last month. On issues (or requests), users do not always have access to the full list of status dropdowns that are available to them. For example, if I navigate into an issue to change the status from "New" to "On Hold", the only option that will show will be "In Progress". Or, another example, a request was "Closed" but I wanted to set the status to "New" but the only available choices were "On Hold" or "In Progress". The list of all options that are available to me should be: "New", "In Progress", "Awaiting Feedback", "On Hold", and "Closed". This problem is not consistent, sometimes we get the entire dropdown, and sometimes we get one or two options in the dropdown. This problem is happening to many users in the system. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem in Workfront
I have the same custom form across multiple tasks in one project and I am wanting to sum all of the data that is in the same custom field. For example, League Night Redemptions will show up on multiple tasks, so I want to sum all the data from those fields somewhere on the project. I have tried multiple calculations, but can't seem to get it right.
We've had an issue the last month with timesheets in the New Workfront Experience taking a long time to load and even making the browser unresponsive for several mins at times. This seems to be isolated to timesheets with lots of tasks / issues listed. I contacted Workfront support and they keep trying to pass the buck to my companies internal network team. Has anybody been experiencing a similar issue? I've contacted my internal network team a few times in the past already and they've stated that we're not blocking anything. Just want to see if anybody has experienced this and if there was a solution found. Thanks
Our teams are desperate to have an easy way to select a task and automatically contour its planned hours over time for all assigned users. We want a quick way to input that "this task is front loaded/back loaded/bell curved/flat" and have the planned hours automatically spread themselves over that distribution rather than having to fiddle with individual users or manually re-calculate planned hours and resource capacity. We find that the Workload Balancer doesn't allow us to do this simply and reliably enough.
